Terrible App. Balducci’s

Grade F for user-interface. Not intuitive, no instructions that make sense. The one review from someone who likes the app took pages just to try to explain it. Most apps are self-evident. Not this one.

Bring back the keypad with one’s tel. no. for 10% or $10. And fire the app developers..

P.S. Balduchi’s app so frustrating I skipped shopping at Balduchi’s the other day and tried Wegman’s. Great store. Will check out their app.

Identity theft and terrible customer experience

After speaking with an Albertson’s customer service rep, it appears someone may have been using the rewards points accumulated under my phone number. There are 2 accounts assigned to my phone number - this should not happen. When I logged in using my number, someone else had entered his name and email into the account, and my points balance was zero - even though customer service confirmed that points accumulated from my prior purchases. This is a terrible customer experience. Please go back to the old rewards system managed by the cashier. Someone at Albertson’s should look into this security bug: look for any phone number with more than one account and investigate. Also check your validation process when adding a phone number to an existing email account.

UPDATE June 3, 2023 - App has still not fixed identity / security issues. I can see someone else’s purchases from a different state posting to my account (I assume they can also see mine).

Seriously??!

This app appears to be merging Safeway account with my Balduccis account so that I will constantly have to toggle to make sure I’m shopping from Balduccis. But the WORST part of all is that it seems purchases from both places are lumped together which, if you’re familiar with both stores and how different they are you know how annoying and frustrating that will be. Shopping at Balduccis results in a list of a bunch of stuff that’s “not available in store”. No duh! Because it’s all from Safeway. Who designed this?? This app is complete trash. But since Balduccis prices have gone up 20% while the food portions at the food bars have gotten smaller, I won’t be shopping there much anyway.
