WHAT CRITICS SAY (WITH VIDEO):
[Professional physical education teacher Jarrod Robinson]
“Over the years, I’ve spoken to thousands of PhysEd teachers about the app BaM Video Delay. It’s a complete game-changer that takes what used to be possible with expensive and complicated systems and makes it a reality for everyone”
“The app has great potential to be used on a regular basis in physical education classes as a formative assessment tool.”
5/5 Great app!
Every coach needs this app. Immediate feedback for players and a great way for self analysis.

5/5 Great app!
Works for what I need, nice that you can have a delay rather than asking someone to record each time.
5/5 A great technical training tool for sport and fitness
This is exactly what I was looking for! Needed it to perfect technique in Crossfit Olympic lifting. Every technical sport could use this valuable tool.
Ever wanted to learn a new move?
Be it for professional dancing, gymnastics, golf, basketball, tennis, martial arts, breakdance, strike a pose or other use.
A mirror is nice but it's hard to move and look the same time, sometimes even impossible when not facing forward.
A video camera is OK but it is a hassle with all the start, stop, rewind, positioning and other.
So in the end you don't use either, give up on learning something new and move on with your life.
"Bust a Move Video Delay" solves these problems.
It gives you an easy to use tool with quick feedback. You see what you just did, so you can correct it, try again, look again, correct ... and so on.
Also, after the initial setup, no interaction is needed so you can focus on training without any distractions.
SO WHAT DOES A “VIDEO DELAY” DO ?
It continuously shows you what just happened seconds ago. There is no alternating record or play phase, just continuous playback but with a given delay. This way you get fast and easy accessible video feedback.
Also no tapping, rewinding or other interactions are needed. Once set up it works hands free so you can focus on your moves.
Now there are just two easy steps:
1. BUST A MOVE
(do what you want to learn)
2. LOOK & LEARN
(see what you just did and what's wrong)
This way you get instantaneous feedback so you can quickly learn on your mistakes and get better in no time.
- "hands free" continuous playback but with a delay
- up to Full HD at 30 fps and HD at 60 fps
- universal app for both iPhone/iPod and iPad

- auto hiding interface controls
- "Live View" for easy positioning of the camera and setup
- front to rear camera switch
- horizontal flip

Updated to iOS 13.
Also a user asked for bringing 480p for the front camera, so it's back :)

HUGE jump in usability!
UPDATE> Kudos to developer to listening to us. BAM has always been the best UI for video feedback, but was severely limited in team sport situations by 2 minute limit. Squeezing out the extra time, 4-6 minutes based on framerate and resolution desired, is a complete game-changer. I cannot thank you enough for making this important change. It will revolutionize my ability to create powerful scrimmage feedback situations. Easy-to-access slo-mo capability awesome, as well. Best tool in world for immediate video feedback!
ORIGINAL: BAM is a centerpiece in my Volleyball coaching - has been for several years now. BUT - is there some practical reason for the 2 minute max?? The app would be infinitely more useful for sports training, especially in scrimmage situations, with a 3-4-5 minute delay ability.
Developer Response ,
UPDATE: Thanks, glad you found the update useful and thanks for the kind words. Good luck with your coaching.
ORIGINAL: Hi Topvidreviewer. There is an 4.0 update out with 60 fps HD or up to 6 minutes delay at lower fps for most available iPhones/iPads. As for the practical reasons: the longer the delay the more memory is needed and it is a lot and hard to fit in the RAM of your device. In this update I managed to optimise it so the max delay can be longer.
Also I see you missed out on the 3.0 (when writing this review) with added slow motion and 2 screen view modes :)
If you have any more question you can email me from within the app taping the "i" button and then contact.
Newest update removed 480p recording on front camera. This broke the app for me as I use it in a limited space. Can you please bring it back in the next update?
Edit: Thank you for the response. Yes, I submitted a support request and you have been excellent. Thank you again. I’m looking forward to the update.
Developer Response ,
Hi Panupong81, could you please contact me through the app "i button"->Contact->send email or web page and explain your situation? Why is 480p better for you than 720p and how do you use it? It's not a problem to bring it back in an update but I though nobody needs 480p when 720p is available.
Great for Gymnastics
Easy to learn and setup.
Currently, my only complaint is that we can only go back 2 min. It would be nice if it was increased to at least 10 min so that we can go back and save an earlier turn.
The 4 screen option is also great. I'm able to give my athlete a correction and they can watch it up to 4 times in order to understand the correction.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
