DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES

3) Moraine Lake
4) Spiral Tunnels

CANADIAN ROCKIES GyPSy Guide Tours
This tour is a part of a set of tour apps by GyPSy Guide to explore the Canadian Rockies National Parks. Other tours in the series include:
* The Icefields Parkway
* Jasper National Park
* Banff Townsite and Area
For BEST VALUE, you may prefer to download the Canadian Rockies GyPSy Guide which includes all of these too.
Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network.
++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle.
** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine.
GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning audio tours along scenic drives around the world. Enjoyed by travelers who prefer to set their own pace and itinerary on vacation, but enjoy a fun, informative and educational guided experience. Our goal is to provide a great introduction to the region and perhaps inspire you to learn more and return. None of our apps include paid advertising or placements for benefit.
We are constantly making improvements, both large and small, so you have an even better sightseeing experience as you drive around the Canadian Rockies.
Major updates we've made for this and previous versions include:
* Tour keeps delivering audio narration even when in background mode, Eg while you listen to music.
* Easy-to-follow tour route line added
* Content updates 2019
Ratings and Reviews
From Hawaii to Banff. We loved every mile.
We started listening toGyPSy Guide during our trip to Maui and loved it. We were so pleased to find the Guide was also available for our trip to Banff 2 months later. The narrator is so easy on the ears. We just can’t wait to cross to the next gps narration point and learn something new, things we otherwise would never know. We learn things like not only a mountain’s name but a brief history behind it’s discovery. When the narrator comes through our car speakers all conversations stop. His suggestions for places to pull over or to not bother to stop are spot on. Thanks for helping to make a great trip even better. Hope you all keep up the good job. I almost feel like waiting to see what tours you put up next before planning my next trip just so we can have your insights.
We were amazed
At how good this little app is. It works, no tech or Bluetooth connection issues. We learned about the drive from Banff to Lake Louise via the scenic Bow Valley Parkway and saw way more in a day than we would have otherwise. His suggestions really helped us find the roads less travelled (take his advice re walking around Lake Louise). I really appreciated as our navigator that I could listen and enjoy the scenery rather than spending the day with my nose in my phone. We will definitely buy his other apps! FYI this tour is a full day for sure. We started out about 1030a, finished the sightseeing right after sunset at about 8p and returned to the hotel in Banff happy and tired at about 9p and we had to skip Moraine Lake (we'll take the rest of our tour today). To do it all in a day, leave Banff about 12h before sun down and enjoy!
Like having a personal tour guide in my car!
I rarely take time to write reviews, but this app deserves it. I downloaded the Canadian Rockies 4-pack app, which included this one. We did very little planning for our trip. We basically got in the car in Banff and went where this app told us to go. The guide provides very interesting info while you are driving and at the stops. We definitely saw things that we wouldn't have noticed or bothered to stop at if just using a map. Love that it tracks us with GPS to give us info at just the right time and works without cell service. To top it off, the narrator is actually enjoyable to listen to and is like have a personal guide in your car (different narrator for the Banff Townsite app than for the other 3 but he was good also!).
