I have only had this for 30 seconds. All I can say is I have tried all the suggestions for changing settings, etc. from all the forums and support sites like apple. This suggestion is the only one that works right out of the box. It is such a relief and joy to just open a web page and just have it open without the “hey, want to sign in with google” pop up and block you from interacting with the page until you submit to hitting the x or signing in using google. Thank you so much for this app. It is well worth the $4.99 and I will be getting this for all my other devices. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have just started using Banish, in spite of the negative reviews. It is such a pleasure to have those damned Google popups gone. It was easy to set-up with only one very minor glitch. That tiny problem was easy to solve. After the installation I went to the Reddit site and got a pop-up. I dismissed it. Since then I have had no problem and it was worth the price. Thanks.

Unchecked Banish Advanced for security reasons and it still works great even without that being checked. Pretty much gets rid of Google Sign-in nags. Thank you for the quick response addressing my concerns.

Thanks for the feedback--I can understand your concern. The extension needs access to your browser because it stops sites from blurring the page or hijacking the scrollbar until you dismiss their popups. If you want you can use just the content blocker, which does most of the popup blocking. Yes, evil developers can use extensions to compromise your privacy. Of course, I’m not doing that with Banish; no browsing data is collected by Banish at all. It’s one of the reasons why Banish is a paid app: the app is the product, not you or your data.
