Bank Check Printer is a Macintosh application that prints your bank checks. It is designed to work with standard 8.5 x 11 inch, sheet-fed, three-to-a-page, business-sized checks. The software can also accommodate voucher checks and wallet-sized checks. The bank checks that you use should be pre-printed with your name, address, routing number, and checking account number.
Simply enter the date, the amount, and the name of the recipient (i.e., the payee), then click the Print button to print your check. You can also include an address on the check or a note in the memo section.
The Bank Check Printer preferences allow you to change the check style (Standard, Voucher, or Wallet), modify the font, choose a signature image, choose a background image, or adjust the positioning of printed fields on checks. In addition, presets can be created for different types of checks.
Bank Check Printer provides a Log window that keeps track of printed checks. The Log window also allows you to populate fields in the main window from items in the log.

I don't get the negative reviews as people are complaining about lack of functionality which the description clearly states it doesnt do.I was a long time Quicken user who switched out as Quicken went downhill to the point that it was useless. I really miss the ability to print checks as my handwriting is so bad. This program does exactly what it says it does and I'm glad I spent the dollar to get it. I would like to see some additional functionality which would raise my review to 5 star. I would love to have the ability to print a return address and have that address preserved for future checks. Other than that, I would imagine others would like the ability to print routing numbers though that is not something I need.

I am so happy to have found “THE” Bank Check Writer that I’ve used for decades still available and functional with newer Mac M silicon hardware and OS. Previously a paid app, US$2.99, it was well worth it on the Intel Mac Mini(s) and now “free” as a legacy app on an M2 Mini. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have other software that keeps track of finances so a simple check writer is all I need. Printing, of course is with a laser printer so hopefully defeats check washers and potential fraud. Highly recommended if you are looking for a simple check writer and check log, integrates fully with your Apple Contacts.

My non-profit uses 3 on a page wallet pre-printed checks and I do 20 checks at a time. I had been looking for a software for a long time and finally found Bank Check Printer. Once you appreciate the simplicity of it, it is easy to fine tune to the style of checks we use by opening Preferences. Our checks with a stub were too wide for the printer so I folded the check and stub to a width of 8.5," which was enough width to still print the stub info and the check.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I write maybe one check a year now, but I have a huge pile of old voucher checks leftover. The alignment was almost perfect by default. I moved everything up 3 px and it was spot on.I used to print them from Microsoft Money, but that went away. I tried the free Excel templates, but they try to print the entire check from scratch. If you have pre-printed laser check blanks, this is totally worth the money!
