Home Town

Thank you so much for providing a home town bank with a big bank app. The app works great and I know you all are adding features too. I had Chase, and hated it. I was just a number. I now feel like a have a home and people who care about me and my money. I fell over when I called the number on the back of my ATM card and a local branch answered! Whaaaaa?!?! You all just rock. Thank you.

Bill pay service

Overall it is a great means of access offering all the current standard functionality. One area I am not impressed with that may be more of a quality of life aspect of other online banking apps I have used is the immediate reflection of pending bill pay payments on my account balance. Currently my checking account balance doesn’t reflect a bill pay until it actually posts. I recently received a NSF notification because payments posted that I assumed we’re already accounted for as it would be with my previous bank. This was a very unwelcome surprise as I have not experienced a NSF event in nearly 20 years. And that was due to a banking error related change in employment. I would HIGHLY recommend adding this functionality as I don’t know a single person who still maintains a manual balance book.

Getting better

The app is getting better but is still cumbersome and inconvenient in places. It still often takes days to accept a routine mobile check vs mere minutes at my other bank. There is no clean and quick way to xfer monies between the two banks like Zelle. And the check image capture function for mobile deposits still requires guess work and manual intervention. You line up the check on a dark surface, hover the phone camera above it and move it up and down and all around until you think you have it right. Then you manually click the camera to snap the picture hoping that action alone will not throw off the alignment you worked so hard to achieve. At my other bank the picture is snapped automatically as soon as the app recognizes an acceptable image. So user friendly and sweet.
