Love the game

I used to play part 1 so I was excited to play part 2. I am glad the game runs on my IPhone SE, IOS version 14.1 even though it was made a very long time ago. Making the drink is fun but there’re so many dialogues.

Could be good, but...

This game has inaccurate pours! Im not sure if there is a recipe edit feature, but so far every drink requires double or more what is normal for a standard drink. An example is the manhattan. 4oz of bourbon in the recipe? It should be 2 oz at most. All the recipes are like this. I have never seen a cocktail glass big enough for the recipes described. These recipes would fill pint glasses with no ice in them. I was really liking the learning style and thought id just go with it for a while, but to learn inaccurate info is counterproductive in a learning game and i cant keep playing.

Please improve the accuracy of the measurements in the recipes to more realistic levels and allow recipe editing, and/or creating. An add/edit recipe feature would make this game much more appealing and would even fix the inaccurate measurement issue as i could fix it myself and customize the measures to be like the bar I'm practicing for. It would be nice to add self crafted and named recipes. The bar i work at has an extensive list of house crafted cocktails and I’d love to practice them on here. Id be happy to change to a 5 star review with these added elements and really want to start playing again. For now though, I'm wishing I could get my money back.

Fun and light-hearted

General Impression: fun app to pass the time with. Well paced story and it flowed without being choppy. A couple of surprise turns in the story near the end left me smiling and saying "you idiot" to Victor after all was said and done.

Technical Impressions: the cocktail simulation was excellent. Challenging enough to make me pay attention to what I was doing with every drink, while not being needlessly difficult. It was obvious the makers were trying to be as faithful as they feasibly could to the creation of actual cocktails. The only complaint I have being the iPhone's sensitivity to the motion of the phone causing misinterpretations of what I was actually doing (e.g. mixing vertically while the phone thought I was mixing laterally). That, however, is an issue with the phone, not the app.

Artistic Impression: while the story is not epic in any sense, it is cleverly told through the interactions between the main character and the named regulars. As the end credits roll and you listen to the lyrics being sung, you can't help but feel the emotion there. A couple of the named characters felt a bit one-dimensional but it doesn't detract from the story and there could have been some more of the beautiful artwork shown during the end credits used throughout the game. As a small nitpick there were a couple of points where the translations were a little off.

All in all a very thoroughly enjoyable game and well worth the small amount of money it costs.
