Bariatric Timer is an application for people who keep constant time intervals between their meals and drinks or want to keep track of their meals/drinks.
In particular, it is made for people who went through a bariatric surgery and keep a special diet.

The application features two main buttons:

"Drank" - starts a timer until eating is allowed. A local notification will be shot when the time's up.

"Ate" - starts a timer until drinking is allowed. A local notification will be shot when the time's up.
In addition, when the time's up, a second timer for the next meal will start, for which two notifications will later be shot. One is to remind you that you should eat soon (so you can drink) and the other when the time's up to remind you that you should eat.

All time intervals and notification messages can be changed in the 'settings' section.

It is also possible to change the date of an event by pressing the timer. That is in example, if you want to set the date to 3 minutes earlier than the date when the button was in fact clicked, hit the timer and adjust the date.

Finally, the application features a diary for keeping track creating and managing the events. A new event created through the diary will not add any new local notifications. local notifications are assosiated only with events created by the main buttons.

Great Concept

The concept for this app is outstanding. With a few minor adjustments, this app would be worthy of more stars. Since Bariatric patients are to avoid alcohol and carbohydrates, it would make sense to change the food and drink icons. If the icons were changed to a water bottle or glass for the drink and a simple plate with fork and knife for the food, it would eliminate mixed messages for your customers. Additionally, I would love to see an ability to export data, an extra timer for vitamins, and a timer for exercise. Overall, I really like this app. Keep up the good work.

Donuts and whine...

I agree with others who have commented about this app. A donut and wine glass are really unacceptable, and I think anyone who knew anything about bariatric surgery would know that. But, this is the only app I've found that tells me when to start and stop drinking my wine, I mean water 😔, so I guess I'm stuck. Sorry to make such blunt comments, and I'll stop whining now...

Helpful App

I use this app daily. It's been a great help to ensure I don't drink too soon after eating.

Like others have said the food and drink icons need to be changed. I also agree with the suggestions to increase the food to drink timer to 1 hour and to add a timer for spacing out bites when eating.

Finally, I would appreciate getting rid of the sliding scale for the timers. Just let us input a number. It's very aggravating struggling to land on the right number (29, 32, 28, 31! My kingdom for a 30!)
