Nate ,

A nice little app

I am using this as a replacement for the app “Tot”. It seems just right.

This app gives you 5 note slots, plus a basic calculator. That’s it. And that’s all I wanted. (Note: In my testing, the calculator has been fixed since the previous reviewer mentioned keyboard issues.)

Keyboard access is good -- I can switch between slots by pressing Cmd-1 through Cmd-5 instead of always having to use the mouse.

Unlike Tot, it does not try to be helpful by doing weird things to your text -- like adding angle brackets around URLs.

With the “auto close” option turned on, the main window goes away when you switch to another app.

With the “auto close” option turned off, the window can be dragged and it stays on top. I like this because then it does not disappear if I activate a full-screen app like the one I use for work. But I wish I could press escape to dismiss it instead of clicking the menu bar button.

As a suggestion, it would be nice if there was some indication which of the 5 notes have text in them.

missing functions

This app would be perfect but you can't use the keyboard for the multiple sign or the percent sign.

Its very inconvenent and causes errors since most calculators allow these functions
