Good on paper

I picked up this app after Howlr died but there isn’t enough security to prevent bots from grabbing my personal information. I keep getting scammers contacting me on telegram using my information from barq saying specifically they found me from here.

Along with that issue it has glitches with notifications. I’d say it’s good for finding out we’re people are location wise from you but using this to get people to message you is impossible I recommend just joining a local furry group on telegram.

Good app for finding furries to chat with

I’d personally say this app is better than barq. The notifications I receive are consistent, messaging works fine, the communities feature is a good grouping function of this app (all of these can’t be said for another similar app called howlr).

Even though the app is still in development and is in more of a beta phase, there are a few things that I don’t like. Sometimes the app just doesn’t load profiles and the main menu and I would have to wait a few minutes for it to get back online. They also like to change the UI and layout very often for better or worse. The more recent update to the layout made things a little worse for my personal taste but still good overall.

If you’re looking to just chat with other furries then there really isn’t a reason to not download this app. The only downside is that it’s hard to actually get to talk to people but that’s not the apps fault at all but more or less the actually people.

The app is good, but I got major problems

I left Barq after about 3 or 4 months, mostly because of personal reasons. (I’m well aware that there aren’t any girl furries in the fandom, but I was hoping to meet at least one on Barq, and I didn’t) but also, the fact was that there was no physical way to set my content rating. I’m well over 18 years of age, but there’s no physical way to prove my age or anything, so there’s no way for me to view adult content. I stopped trying after all my pictures were removed from my account by some admin somewhere. The other problem is that all the communities you join have literally nobody in them. There’s hardly any social interaction at all, people go there to show off and nothing else. There’s no way to send pictures in direct messages, and for the love of God, whoever designed the age-restriction system in this app needs to be fired.

It seems like you need to activate AD, this needs to be done via web.barq.app > login > manage content options > activate AD, this way you will also find your other pictures back since they probably got moved to there.

We cannot have this on the app it self, this has to do with policies from Apple.
