Not long ago, Steve Barton was known primarily as a local artist who captures bright and colorful California coastal scenes from La Jolla to Carmel. Today, Barton's work is on display in more than 35 galleries, covering over a dozen states including Hawaii, New York, Florida and even Puerto Rico. For Barton, painting is a way of life. He loves to spend spare moments combing areas for inspiration. Old quaint houses, cottages, cabins, and villas that capture the heart of life on the beach are among his favorite settings to capture on canvas.
