I think it's fairly accurate if you type in the correct distance you can simply calculate how long it takes to get from A (release of pitcher) to B (catcher). It's math skills! And you can keep track of the strikes and balls, etc. Pretty cool concept and we compared it to a real gun and it was within 1-2 mph each time and that's because you have to use your thumb to start and stop!
Well thought no complications
I understand users wants to use their phone like speed guns but this app is as simple as it can get. It saves battery and you want to have an approximation of the speed and with the distance and time you get speed so apt attention and do some average after few throws you will have an idea of your kid pitch.
Maybe having an average speed is not bad feature request.?

I have a real radar gun and it is almost exactly accurate. But it is better because you can choose the distance from the pictures mound to home-plate and you can put in your custom length if you want. Another reason is that I can keep track if I am at my friends baseball game and the scoreboard is not working, I can keep track of the game all on my phone.
