A step above the other fitness apps

I’ve used Strava, Map my run, and others like them for about 6 months. While tracking your workouts is one thing, this app goes a step further. The coolest thing about it is my Baseline number, which tells me exactly what my average daily activity is. As soon as I knew that, everything I did was put in a new perspective. Instead of judging myself by other people biking a million miles or doing crazy workouts that I could only dream of, I began competing with myself. And it felt great! Now I’ve been making improvements I can be proud of, at my own pace.

The teams and challenges are another great thing. They aren’t exactly competitive (unless you want them to be). I’ve had a lot of fun with friends, setting challenges on our team and seeing how close we can get to our ideal calories burned, or miles ran in a week. It’s so simple yet exactly what I needed. Not over-thought. Just beautifully useful. If you’re newly into fitness, this is an app you gotta try!

Wholistic fitness tracking!

I love how this app helps me track how I’m doing in all parts of my fitness journey. It helps me understand how walking, HIIT workouts, dance, meditation, and even reading accounts toward my activity level on a daily basis but more importantly for my short-term and long-term goals. I love the team challenges and chat feature. This app is great daily motivation to continue to do more and try new things instead of just hitting my step goal or running X miles a day. Overall, great app that helps track your ENTIRE fitness journey with the goal of increasing your Baseline through daily activity.

Gamifying My Fitness During Quarantine

When I started sheltering in place, I was very motivated to work on my body and get more fit. However, as months carried on, my motivation slowed down as I didn’t want to work out to virtual Zoom classes or pick between different work out programs on apps and then I found Baseline. Baseline allows me to pick and choose what workouts I want to do each day while challenging me to match or beat my own goals and my team’s goals rather than slog through a 3-4 week fitness program.
