Delete Chars from Beginning not working, Replace works

Loading about 25 jpg files (mac), asking it to remove first 4 characters, hit the “Show New Names” button, and the new names are EXACTLY the same as the old. Hit Rename Now and it does indeed, NOT make a change.

Ok, I’ll add one star - Search and Replace does work.

A -SUPER- App

Over these past several days I have tried a few, even paid and tried, But this -Batch Rename- App has my vote for doing exactly as advertised.

If an App is EASY to use and saves you TIME and does exactly as you expect ==> Well?
