This battery state of charge grapher is very cool🙂!
It graphs over time the charge level of the iPhone/iPad battery which is displayed on its nicely designed graph. The battery can either be charging or not and the app (once its launched) will track the batt SOC while its in the background.

In order for it to work in the background it requires an internet connection to occasionally send the battery charge data point to some unknown server & back... as do all other iPhone background battery status tracker apps. It seems to be a necessary workaround due to iOS background app restrictions.

How often you want the app to update the graph is up to you (and your wallet). The free version of this app will update the graph every hour or longer (up to 4 hour intervals). If you want to update the graph at faster intervals, it'll cost you a couple bucks.

The graph can be expanded on the X axis anywhere from a 1 minute increment all the way up to 7 days by pinching & zooming the graph. Also if the iPhone orientation lock is turned off and the iPhone is rotated 90° and back, the graph can be displayed full screen vertical, instead of half screen.

This app reminds me a bit of the excellent CTEK BatterySense app that CTEK uses for its battery SOC sensor used for 12 volt batteries... but this one is nicer.

Ultimately, does anyone really "need" an iPhone battery SOC grapher? Of course not. Just like nobody really needs most utility apps. But even though this app doesn't fall in the category of "must have", it sure is cool and after a lot of searching on the App Store, I'm really happy that I found it.
Nice job! Great app!

No longer works

Used to find this app useful in viewing my battery levels as they declined during the day. Help me manage which actions were draining the battery over others that didn't. Now the app has completely failed to function. Opens but does nothing other than notify me that it can't track the battery unless I open the app. It's already open... TheFreez - Is a fix on the way?

Every time I look at it, it has no historical data. Worthless. TheFreez responded with a list of things Apple requires users do when device is rebooted or recents apps are cleared, and requires settings be changed this way or that way, AND REQUIRES AN INTERNET CONNECTION. Why all the requirements? So my review just changed to all battery apps in the App Store too. According to TheFreez they're all Awful. Consider your review updated.

Hi YourMomHasNicknames,

We are sorry to hear Battery Tracker isn't working for you. For Battery Tracker to be able to track your battery level in the background you will need to make sure these things are in order:

1. Your device should have an active internet connection.
2. Background App Refresh should be enabled for Battery Tracker.
3. Low Power Mode should not be enabled.
4. Battery Tracker should not be removed from the background (double tap and swipe to close).
5. After a restart of your device, Battery Tracker should be opened at least once.

Disregarding any of these steps will disable Battery Tracker from tracking the battery level in the background, preventing you from seeing any historical data. All of this is necessary because of the restrictions by the OS to prevent apps from running in the background.

You can enable warning notifications in the app that will tell you when Battery Tracker is unable to track the battery level in the background.

I hope this helps!
