FREE app for hikers in bear country. Developed by hiking enthusiasts, Bear & Bells gives you nine unique bell chimes plus the ability to record and save your own! Set your bell choice and duration, then start walking. Chimes are spaced apart to avoid annoying continuous ringing.
Additional features include custom illustration backgrounds of animal “protectors” that will watch over you, information about black and brown (grizzly bears) and safety suggestions. It’s educational and fun for adults and kids alike.

Nice save.
My wife and I were on vacation and decided to go on a hike. At the entrance of the hike a sign warned of bears and advised using a bear bell. We hadn’t considered bringing one then I found this app and it worked great, thank you. The bells had good spacing so as to not be constant and annoying while still seeming to be effective.
Wacky but Usefull
It taught me some and helped with notifying bears that I was there. Good and Helpful app. :)
