Did not like that there was no sound or the option to have the story read! My grandson cannot read yet but liked hitting the circles to reveal the pictures.
Interactive yet traditional
I like this because the illustrations are not cartoony--they have the look of old-fashioned, detailed drawings with interesting vantage points and innocent faces--yet each page is technologically interactive in a way that complements the story. I know my four-year-old (and eight-year-old) will love it! (P.S. Audio on the story would be a great addition--or was that just my phone/me without sound?)
Quiet is nice
At first I was disappointed that there were no blasting guns and rumbling trucks, but after a few times through, reading with a soft voice to the grandkids, I realized it had a great, calming effect. They love it...and the calm is serene.
