UPDATE:
I really enjoy putting the looks together. I like that when I acquire clothes and accessories, it’s not just for a few uses. That’s realistic as once I buy something in reality, it’s mine to wear any time.

However, I have a few pet peeves:
1. There aren’t enough challenges in a day.

This has been corrected: I often don’t get to do enough to earn the invite-only.

2. While I prefer the voting method where you are not competing against another person. Instead, it seems that you are voted on your style’s own merits. However, the results appear arbitrary. The same style by different people gets different results or the same style in different challenges gets wildly different results.

3. The limited time hairstyles is frustrating.

This has been resolved as they now occasionally offer a set of hair style and make up for a small fee for short times:
There are hairstyles that were available before I started that I can’t even buy.

4. This is no longer an issue as they now reward you with gems if you already own something: I hate when I win something I already bought.

I just started playing this a couple of days ago. The graphics are great and it’s highly engaging for those w a creative interest in fashion. I cranked out thirty different ensembles over 48 hrs and accumulated 60 followers among others playing. (Part of the games’s protocol involves voting on other people’s designs.)
But, as with many other good quality games, it soon becomes apparent that it’s basically designed to cleverly part you from your money.
Suddenly, the number of engaging challenges dissipates down to one, and you find yourself playing with the same few resources over and over and over again, restricted by the one remaining challenge requiring you to only use very few of the vast array of creative options available due to the particular challenge’s specific parameters —finding yourself playing the same thing over and over again in the hopes that you’ll soon progress to a wider range f creative possibilities. But no. Apparently that’s not the business model. So you’re either forced to go over the same ground over and over until you either get bored and quit, or you persevere and wind up throwing more money at it —just hoping that some more exciting angles will be introduced to re-inspire your waning interest.
The lights are still on, but it’s evident that no one’s home, minding a store of exciting possibilities —that take forever to arrive.

Not a money grabber so far, I did spend 99 cents for a hairstyle that came with 2500 diamonds well worth it. There are no annoying ads at every turn you’re free to play and click everywhere and on anything without being bombarded with an ad. The big problem is the length of time your designs sit in voting. It’s between 15 and 24 hours to wait for the results new designs only come about when your previous designs have been voted on and the results are in. Building up a collection is slow the rewards are little for each design whether you do well or not. There are challenges that you can use diamonds to purchase passes for but that will eat up your stash quickly. All in all it’s a great way for a break in the day, definitely doesn’t help pass time because most time is spent waiting for results.
