Description is a full FM model of a circuit-bent synthesizer. allows the user to tweak classic circuit bending modifications like fine and octave-decimated clock bends, and experiment with more esoteric bends. Circuit-bent distortions and algorithmic sequences can be created by (im)proper connections on the bend matrix. Reroute digital serial information through the base chip set (a numerically controlled oscillator) and extra logic gates (NAND and XOR, binary counters), and experience architecture-level bit crushing. For anyone interested in circuit bending, glitch sounds, industrial music, and post-procedural art.

PLEASE NOTE: On the iPhone version, only allows control of one of the oscillators due to space constraints. If you do not have an iPad, please get lite instead, it's free!
On the iPad version, lets you re-route connections between both the oscillators.

Audiobus and IAA supported!

Perfect bent synth

No midi is fine as the spirit of this is mayhem, maybe cv or something arcane but its amazing. Its pretty hard to understand, but trial and error is the way for this. Some of the buttons mute and you just kinda memorize the ‘death mutant’ settings. I would like some pads or sliders or something kinda like glitch machines’. Anyway, this is a work of genius.

no midi

cannot be controlled by midi and the keys are sooooo thin

One of the Very Best for Experimental

Easily one of the best apps for making "crazy" unexpected sounds (duh, it's virtual circuit bending done well). Offers a experience that seems like, and I would claim is, a process of discovery made simple. One fails to require knowledge of Many common synth concepts. For example the IVCS3 app can produce some really wild sounds but it takes time to learn. BENT FM is right here (for 5$ with a nice granular app included in the package) ready to produce tons of unpredictable sounds by just topping on squares and tweaking a few virtual knobs. As someone involved with experimental music, I find this app an unexpected gem that I am constantly using.
