Graphics are beautiful game play is so so

To the person that thinks the developers can give refunds. THEY CANT! You have to go through Apple to get a refund. It’s $1.99 I’m sure you’ll be okay without your $1.99! Most games like this are $4.99 and up. Apple usually sends you a receipt for the games you’ve downloaded and the ones you’ve paid for. In the email, click on report a problem under the game title you want refunded. It’ll take you to the refund page. Just follow the steps. Good luck trying to get a refund. Apple is VERY hard to get a refund, especially if you purposely bought a game and it works.
Now my review.

I love the graphics, BUT there needs to be a tutorial! I’m wandering around my room trying to figure out what to do. I see a few “Fans” go over click and read. Que wandering around again. Finally figure out to go to bed? Wake up in a dream and come to a couple doors. Says to grab the object behind the door. I do that and every single time I grab item, I lose it. This is to frustrating. Turned the game off! I have zero idea what I’m doing. Is so aggravating, Especially if one has never played a game such as this one. There needs to be a way newcomers can get a tutorial. If a person has played this game before, then they should have the option to turn the tutorial off. Add a tutorial to help people like myself that have never played this type of game before and I’ll add the last star to make it a 5 star game!

Okay the atmosphere and the way it was designed was beautiful. I really enjoyed it. One of the tougher puzzles was the one where you have to follow the pink footprints, i found it quite annoying that they would disappear but it was fun, it was challenging. I would have enjoyed it more if you could change the sensitivity of the joystick because I had a problem where I couldn’t get the man to go in front of the doors with the moons and then they would all shut. The plot was good, I didn’t really understand the ending, was he dead or alive? I’m unsure, but if that’s the aspect of the game leaving you to wonder that’s brilliant. The game was beautiful and the mini piano songs that would play were beautiful as well. You can tell that there was a lot of time, effort, love that went into the game I just wished the puzzles were more diverse puzzles instead of just doors (although I do understand the concept of how the doors add to the story) and a sensitivity bar for the joystick. I’m unsure if they’re are multiple endings, but if they’re are multiple endings I’ll for sure keep playing! Amazing game!

It’s Fine

Just finished the game and, while pleasant enough, I don’t think I had the same experience everyone else had. The art was fine, if a little chunky, but that’s just my personal taste. The puzzles were pretty frustrating at times simply because there was little direction in the beginning and it’s a series of opening doors. A tad monotonous, but I get the symbolism. Very clever. The story was also fine. Just fine. As a matter of fact, everything about this game left me with the overall impression of, “Its fine.”

The only thing that genuinely wasn’t “fine” were the mechanics. They were clunky and didn’t flow as smoothly as you would want in a puzzle game completely dominated by the gross motor skills of your character. Any time you approach a door, you’re likely not close enough to trigger the opening. Try to take a step closer and you may just slide around it (because physics?). All this would be one thing if it was one part of a greater whole, but the entire game is based off opening these clever doors in clever ways that left me feeling ready to close the app and just delete the game. The puzzles are not difficult. It’s just hard to accomplish them when the poor boy you’re controlling is reminiscent of Octodad with hands.
