Indian Overseas Bank unveils BHIM IOB UPI. Registered mobile number in the bank account to be entered by the customer. OTP will be sent to the customer for initial registration and device binding. The SIM card of the registered mobile number should be present on in-app the installed device to make any payments.

Features include

* Creation of Virtual Payment Address to link bank account which is used for making and receiving payment without additional bank account information

* Send money and collection requests can be done by this application.

* Balance inquiry can be checked for VPA linked bank accounts

* Manage payee, VPA, Account can be avail

* Pay by QR Code and QR code generation can be done

* Refer a friend via Facebook, WhatsApp, Google+, Gmail, etc

Can’t verify number

I am unable to verify my phone number. I get the OTP but it’s not auto detected nor I have the option to manually enter it in. What is the point of the app if you are not looking at the usage data

U able to install

Unable to add the security code in the screen when prompted . Wasted hours and not sure if anyone is using this app .

Update 4/4/2024: looks like the bugs are fixed, the app can be activated. Yet to test the payment features.

Got the OTP by sms, but the app fails to read it nor does it allow manually entering the OTP, effectively making it useless. Concept is good, but your IT needs to be serious about what they build in the name of the bank. There are previous comments with same error, it’s still not resolved
