You get what you pay for

I have a 72” i6 on a 24” down rod with the LED light. This costs more than 2K. It runs day and night in our bedroom and is silent - save for the air movement. It comes perfectly balanced and spins with no wobble. The integration with my phone allows adjustments without getting up. Every other fan that I have owned for the last 35 years (except for the older Casablanca fans) has had bearing failure within a few years. Clicking and wobbling occurred sooner as each new fan manufactured out of the country failed. Constant replacement was required until now. The BA fan is light years ahead of anything else on the market in terms of build quality and technology. It won’t run up your electric bill if you leave on continuously. As you get older you become less tolerant of interrupted sleep that a noisy fan creates. The i6 is absolutely the best residential fan you can buy and worth every cent.

Nice!

We own two houses in Maine. Finding the summer weather is getting warmer an we do not have or want to have A.C. I installed the Haiku L after a home renovation 5 years ago and we love it. It is clean and quiet. White fan against a white ceiling. The down light is very bright. Unobtrusive, unlike most other ceiling fans on the market. Bought a Camp in Northern Maine recently and decided to go with the Haiku (early model). Really love the look and feel of the Haiku. It is everything thing we wanted in a fan. The up light is a nice feature but don’t expect it to replace your floor lamps. Looking to add the wall switch that is now offered for the Haiku but don’t see enough information on it at the web site to make an informed decision. And if you can’t find your remote the app is excellent too.

Do not upgrade

After “upgrading” from the Haiku app, connectivity to my fans and wall controls is sporadic at best. The wall controls by themselves are completely unresponsive, the app says it’s connected to the fans and wall controls but then disconnects either on its own (about once a minute) or as soon as you try and turn the fan or light(s) on or off. What’s worse is the lights on the fans now just turn on and off on their own every couple minutes….support said to turn off power to my router and the fans for five minutes, as if they were tired and just needed a break…

If we hadn’t spent a small fortune on these fans, they’d already be replaced with something 1/10 the cost.

Would I recommend using or upgrading to this app? Hard no. Would I recommend a different manufacturer altogether? After being told that my fan is wobbling because it isn’t attached to structure (which it most certainly is, and the box DOES NOT move at all) and now this, absolutely. They used to stand behind their products, which helped to justify the cost, but not anymore.
