Birdie‪+‬ 4+

Every month I get two emails, one thanking me for my purchase and telling me to get excited about my birdie+ arriving, and then a second email making sure I don’t forget to activate. I’ve been getting these every month since Sept , despite the fact that I’ve already received and activated my birdie+ since July. I contacted Support and they said it’s due to their accounting system. It’s annoying- in this day and age they have got to be able to manage annual subscriptions without annoying monthly emails that literally do me no good. There’s enough spam and phishing in my inbox as it is, birdie+ should not dilute their presence with wasteful emails. If they can’t fix by April/May I do not plan on renewing.

I should have listened to the other reviewers. As they mentioned, the app does not show your real time location, it doesn’t show you moving, just sends your static location once. The app must be open for features to work. Customer service is appalling and unorganized and billing is a mess. The birdie+ app automatically sets you up for the $89 yearly subscription. Evidently you cannot change to a monthly subscription via Apple like every other app in the world - no, you have to contact birdie directly and ask them to change you over to a monthly subscription. Who is going to think to do that? It’s just a ploy to get more money out of you. They claim they don’t have access to the App Store subscriptions. It’s unorganized and ineffective and that’s why I am canceling.

Please read the other one star reviews. If you don’t have the app open, the calling and texting features do not work, and half the time it won’t sync. I can’t log on to the app anymore because it won’t recognize my phone number, but it won’t let me register again because my email and phone number are already associated to my account. I contacted customer service and they state that the problem is fixed. It is not fixed. Then I’m told I need the latest update. The app is up to date. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times and I still can’t log on. I will not be renewing the $89 per year subscription for something that doesn’t work as intended.
