Description

This app gives you access to 28 videos for mothers and caregivers produced by Global Health Media Project. Topics covered include childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, care of small/ preterm babies, and feeding of young children. Videos are available in over 20 languages. You can use this app to watch the videos, save them to your phone to use offline, or share with friends and family.

Based on international standards of care, the videos teach health care practices in simple and easy-to-follow visual steps. They are professionally filmed on-location in developing world health clinics and homes and voiced over to enable narration in local languages.

Our videos are widely used around the world. They are watched by millions of people who need better access to basic health care information. More than 7,000 organizations including WHO, UNICEF, Save the Children, Ministries of Health, teaching institutions, and hospitals use our videos for training and education in nearly every country.

MrWillyChocolat ,

More helpful than 3 midwives!

We faced challenges with breastfeeding from the first day home with the newborn because we did not learn about correct latch-on technique. Our midwife totally failed us in this regard.
The set of videos from Global Health Media on breastfeeding taught us how to get our baby off of the milk formula bottle and latched to mama’s breast correctly for the switch to 100% breastfeeding. We are grateful beyond what can be written in words.
This app should be assigned to all first-time parents as required homework, hopefully before birth. The app might not be fancy but the information presented is basic, no-nonsense and potentially a life-saver.
