Great for accountability!

I am only 4 weeks postpartum and one week into using this app, but as someone who tends to not “stick to the program”, I have surprised myself by not skipping a single day so far. The ab rehab program in the app is what I’ve started with so I can’t speak about the other features and benefits of the app yet, but I will say that my SPD pain has already improved tremendously. Just a week ago, I couldn’t stand on one leg to put shoes or pants on without feeling like I was going to lose my balance from the pain — that is nearly gone now! I am learning so much about how to breathe and brace my core properly, which I thought I knew before but I now realize that I did not. I especially love how when I complete a day in the program, it checks it off on the list so I can see my progress accumulating. Being able to look at how much I’ve accomplished so far gives me that little incentive to keep it going, which I haven’t really felt before. The language that the trainers use in the videos makes everything feel very manageable and realistic, and that my physical goals are actually achievable, which is hard to feel postpartum (I know most moms can agree with me on that one). I do think the app could be a bit more user-friendly because there’s SO many resources in there that I get a little confused on how to navigate it, and some of the ab videos move a bit quicker than I’d prefer, but I wouldn’t take a star off for that — it’s probably just me lol.

Ab Rehab is just the beginning….

I have always been thin, even with pregnancy I went up to 135lbs and everyone told me how great I looked. Little did they know the constant round ligament pain I had throughout my whole pregnancy. Fast forward to two months post partum, I couldn’t even put my pants on without holding on to a wall from the pelvic pain. My breastfeeding journey was very hard. I was barely catching any sleep and my mental health suffered tremendously. A friend recommended I follow Nancy Anderson on IG and purchase her Ab Rehab program and I wanted to do whatever it took to get control of the pelvic pain. When I signed up I came to find out that not only do they have trained professionals to help with the Ab Rehab and pelvic floor but also they have IBCLC lactation consultants, baby sleep training professionals and even mental health professionals. All at the tip of your finger, unlimited. I have made sure to use all these resources available through the app and have had a great result with every single Coach I have spoken to. My almost 5 month old baby only wakes up once a day. I am not feeling guilty about supplementing with formula. My mental health has improved as so has the dreaded mom guilt. And let’s just say, it’s possible to be sore from just breathing! This program has been my saving grace! 5 starts is not enough! If you are on the fence, trust me, you need this!

30 Days In

I’m 30 days into using the program and am finishing up my Slim Down meal plan challenge and the first round of my Ab Rehab challenge. I started this hoping this program that focused on postpartum bodies specifically would be what finally helped me lose my belly pooch after 3 kids, even though I’m now 4 years past having my last kid. I’m definitely slimmer (6” down combined around chest, waist, hips, and belly), and my pelvic floor, which I never thought was particularly weak compared to mom friends I’ve conversed with, it’s gotten stronger in its ability to hold longer periods of time since first starting the exercises. The Slim Down meals were delicious, and I’ve found a lot of quick, easy snacks to replace my typical fridge grabs that weren’t as healthy. I’ve posted photos of my meals daily and had SO many people ask about the program I’m using, say they need to start something and mine looked yummy, or mention they were inspired to make a similar meal that night. While my belly pooch isn’t totally where I want it yet, I’m excited that my loss has stayed consistent the last two weeks—meaning I’m maintaining the loss rather than yo-yoing. I do recommend this program. It’s fairly easy and $30 a month is a great deal for all the support you get; the coaches are always quick to jump in and answer my questions when I ask.
