Best free macro nutrition tracker atm

You will soon see all free apps of sort (no matter id they say its free, or even 3.99 app), it will always have a monthy (fully unlocked) subscription. This doesn’t, but it does have a small learning curve. These minor annoyances aren’t deal breakers, once you realize the competitiveness of this category, in the app market. The only real annoyance depends on how lazy you are. It’s mostly existing database of foods. But you can create your personal list of food items to use. As a some who trains constantly, we mostly focus on clean foods, and their macros. This means we don’t deviate far from having too many varieties of food. Only good priced, consistent and convenient foods. Not a different meal every day. So the annoyance of database isnt as bad as you think. The percentage works perfectly, if you dont get it, you should at least spend 5 minutes thinking about your high math class. Instead give it a chance and do your training- thats why you have this. In the reviews there arent much negative comments and you can actually see the improvements via feedback from users. Remember this is a tool. Not your savoir. Do the work, focus on the training and track with this. If you start looking for a perfect free app (doesn’t exist without a monthly subscription), you will just be procrastinating with your training.

Great app! A few updates to make it 6 stars!

Love the app! It has really become an integral part of my daily routine. I like that it’s so quick and easy to snap a photo and quickly enter foods that you’re eating or to add your own foods. It really helps when trying to make sure you’re eating a healthy diet and that you’re fitting in all of the necessary nutrients in a busy day to day life.

Could you update to include the capacity to track more types of nutrients in foods? For example, omega-3 fatty acids, micronutrients like selenium and also water intake would be helpful. Additionally, I would love it if there was a feature specifically for nutritional supplements allowing you to also factor in your nutrient intake from that as well. Finally, a feature allowing you to include your own personalized recipes with ingredients you choose would be really handy and convenient. I cook a lot of my own meals at home and sometimes it’s a little tedious to include every ingredient when adding a meal. Overall, a great app and I really like it— best food tracker I’ve used yet! With these updates.... I’d give it 6 stars!

Way more convenient than FitnessPal

Before I found this app, I used FitnessPal. While it was more accurate than this, which is more like an estimated amount of calories (if you don’t use the barcode feature), it’s a lot more annoying in that you have to look up the food, manually input all the info, etc. I liked it for a while, but it got really tedious, especially when I’d eat out and there were no barcodes or anything to scan.

While calorie estimate feature of Bitesnap isn’t as accurate, you do get the option to scan a barcode for a more accurate reading, like FitnessPal. If you don’t have that option, you can either input the information manually, or simply snap a picture. This app is a LOT more helpful when it comes to eating out or recipes without a calorie count available on it. I would definitely recommend!

The only complaint I’d have is when you manually input the data of food, you don’t get the option to delete it once it’s submitted. I accidentally put in the wrong info, but I couldn’t go back and delete that recipe. I wish it’d give us the option to delete.
