Description

Outline:
BiTTE®-iE, an AI software to support microbial estimation (non-medical device), is a system to support microbial estimation for Gram stained images by utilizing AI image analysis technology. It can be linked to local antibiograms.
* Patented (Patent No. 7090302)

How to use:
The field of view of a Gram-stained image observed under a microscope at 1,000x magnification is captured as an image with a digital zoom of 1.9x through a smartphone camera, and the image is used for estimation by AI. Seven types of bacteria are classified: Gram-positive/negative, rod/coccus, yeast-like fungi, multiple bacteria, and no bacteria. In addition, 15 classification results including specific fungal species are also provided for reference. The recommended conditions for ideal accuracy are as follows
Staining method : Barmy method
Image size : W3024 x H4032
Magnification : Digital zoom 1.9x

The antimicrobial drug candidate list screen displays a list of antimicrobial drug candidates based on the drug susceptibility test statistical data for the prefecture selected at the time of registration for the presumed species. You can also check the results by changing the minimum susceptibility rate, spectrum score, and the order of AWaRe classification proposed by WHO.

Please help us improve the accuracy of microbial estimation:
Access the Specimen Summary screen from the home screen of the application and enter the culture results to compare them with the information at the time of estimation.
The culture results and image data will be used to improve this service for the purpose of improving the accuracy of microbial estimation. Please register your culture results.

Instruction Manual:
Please search for "CARBGEN BiTTE-iE" in your browser and access the product page of BiTTE®-iE. Click the link "Click here for the instruction manual" in the middle of the page. The manual also includes detailed information on precautions for use (slides and images to be estimated), so please be sure to check it out.

Others:
If you use this application for estimation targets other than microorganisms observed with an optical microscope, or if you use this application based on inappropriate methods that do not comply with the contents of the instruction manual, there is a possibility that this application will not output the estimation results that you are aiming for.

Example)
Images taken by other than optical microscopes
General images not related to microbiological inspection
Images taken with a smartphone camera after displaying the field of view of an optical microscope on a PC monitor
Glass slides made using methods other than those recommended.

We will continue our efforts to provide better services in the future.
Thank you for your continued support of BiTTE®-iE.
