  • Bad Update

Have loved this game for 6 months. The new update however ruins the dynamic entirely. Everything requires gold and gems and the update adding a limit of 3 Boss Fortress matches a day cripples gaining both. That is if you manage to get a full team. Due to the limited runs and limited players in each bracket it can take hours of waiting now to get 4 active players with fortress tickets remaining to get a single run in let alone multiple. In the old format it took months to get a full element set and months more to refine it and work on rolling the right stats. That was assuming you were lucky and played daily and did boss fortress 40+ times a day to have enough gold for the endless fusions and perk rolling required. Keeping the costs the same but limiting the rate gold is obtained to less than 1/10 is just stupid. I will continue playing a little longer in hopes that the limit is lifted or the costs of fusing, blessing, upgrading and perk rolling is radically slashed. If they leave the game as is the developers are just ensuring that veterans will want to quit for lack of gameplay and new players will take years to catch up to a player with a month or more of play behind them.

  • Pay to ...

Did you find the title to this review incomplete? I promise you it’s more complete than this game is... there’s really no point in calling it a pay to win because you can’t win something that isn’t finished yet. What happens is you get drawn in by the stunning graphics and gameplay mechanics, you have a little bit of fun so you shell out some real money to level up and become strong enough to see the rest of the game...then when you click to advance to the next chapter in the game and test out your newly purchased might, you're met with a shadowed out screen that says coming soon. It’s been saying that for over a year. I contacted the company on FB and they assured me that new updates were fixing to roll out... since then several updates have come but literally the only thing that changed about the game was its icon picture... all its 4 hours of gameplay never changed a bit. The latest update won’t even load. It keeps freezing on first load screen! This has been the case for an entire year! No additional updates or content, just a chance to throw your $$ away.

  • Good graphics, no paywall

    Cosmic Background

This game has very smooth graphics and really diverse and interesting magic skills. I didn’t have to pay a cent and I was able to reach level 37 and beat the game (they say one more final chapter is “coming soon” in an update). Like others said the problem is that there is nothing to do now. All my items are already maxed out and since I’m not spending money, there’s no way to get better items, nor do I need better items to advance anyway. The loot in the challenge ladder is simply not that interesting. And finally yes, there is one skill only available through gems that that is totally OP and lets you dominate. The way as a free player you can occasionally “taste” this and other skills is by sharing other (paying) people’s avatars. All in all a good game that has an abrupt end and needs a more satisfying endgame set of things to do.

  • Hours of easy gameplay

    Must shadows

So this is one of the few games that is great for elitist and casual alike. Can easy just play for hours while doing other things with no hinderance. Only two complaints, game doesn’t have a damage cap to prevent players from leveling grace too fast. The community is very helpful for giving information but if you raise your grace level too quickly it could become too challenging or even impossible to complete content. The other complaint is having to wait 6 hours just for another key to kill the Boss Fortress. Players load in them go afk and you are stuck waiting for them to return, or waiting 6 hours for another key to hopefully complete the boss yourself. Great game over all, love the gameplay and progression system!

  • Thanks for nothing

So I have been playing this game for about a month. I haven’t bought a single item and made it to level 41. I figured out the energy grind pretty early utilizing half energy missions and double xp ones. But at this point I have everything maxed out and can’t do a single thing why? Because I have e to buy gems in order to get better gear at this point. Or so I thought then I saw the event for today and it actually had better gear than what I had equipped. So I figured what the hell I’ll give it a shot this game has nothing else to do. After I get through the whole event on the very last enemy, the game crashes. The very first time it has happened too. So there goes my 50 energy that it takes all day for me to get back. Probably just going to uninstall for wasting my time. Thanks artifex mundi for creating another pay to win let down. Giving a 2 star because I had fun at one point.

  • Great Game from Casual to Hardcore

This is one awesome game. I’ve been looking for something on mobile comparable to a certain franchise currently only on PC. Took a chance on this game...and it’s awesome! There’s a great balance in gameplay from getting a quick fix to grinding out dungeons hardcore for hours. Autoplay is just as exciting as Activeplay. The tier up systems are reasonable. The game is very well balanced between achievable yet still fun goals and objectives. Seriously no regrets in downloading and playing this game. And I honestly think once that other franchise hits mobile...this game still gives them a run for their money. Awesome work shoutout to the developers of Bladebound!
