First saw this app on Threads and must say, my expectations were met. Like the title says, it is an app that does exactly what it is meant to do in a simple, intuitive and effective way. Easy 5 stars and recommendation to friends who also benefit from background sounds/ambient for concentration and productivity. Nice work Dev!

I find the sound combinations more pleasing than even paid Noizio. Kudos to this incredible app developer, and thank you for bringing happiness and productivity to many lives with your work, including my own. You’re an awesome person! SUGGESTION: Please add an option for menu bar controls, and the ability to hide it from the dock. Also less of a big deal, but maybe a less-skeuomorphic and more modernized app icon? The icon change is more nitpicking and not urgent, but the menu bar + dock-hiding features would be a game-changer and are the only (minor yet primary) reasons I still prefer Noizio right now.

Thanks for the suggestion! In Blankie 2.0, there is now a menubar icon that opens a popover where you can update your mix and even set a timer. Based on your feedback specifically, I added an option in settings so you can completely hide the dock icon. Hope you enjoy!

Enjoyable and effective, but a there are a few missing features and issues. 1. The menubar item is nice, but it is not clear how open the configuration interface. And the blanket image is incongruous with the rest of the app design. 2. It would be nice to be able to choose whether to use either the dock icon or the menu bar instead of both. 3. A few of the recordings need work. For example, the Coffee Shop has too much low end while the Storm does not have enough. Looking forward to improvements. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions! Based on your feedback, I re-did some of the mixes for the latest version of Blankie (Blankie 2.0) and the "seam" in most loops should be a lot less noticeable. Also, in Blankie 2.0, you can now import additional sounds if you'd like something else. There is also now a menubar icon that opens a popover where you can update your mix and even set a timer. Because of feedback like yours, I also added an option in settings so you can completely hide the dock icon. Hope you enjoy!

I want rain sounds, it makes rain sounds. I don’t want anything else, I don’t have to have anything else. I wish more software was this straightforward.

What's new in 2.0.2:
- On iPad, lock screen animations played as a static image. Each animation will now properly show a version for the iPad lock screen.
- Improved translations/localizations: Corrected accents, grammatical gender, capitalization, and word choice across 11 locales so copy reads naturally. Also fixed an issue where built-in sound titles, preset strings, and some UI areas were defaulting to English even when a translation existed. Added translations for the Quick Look preview added in 2.0.1.
