Once I was finally able to connect my phone to the Evolve Cloud device, the app seemingly works as promised and has no issues (so far), but the process of connecting the device was more complex than I expected, and I had several issues even when I tried the ‘manual connection’ option. My phone’s Bluetooth was on and the Evolve Cloud device was plugged in, I followed all of the instructions, but it took far too many attempts to connect and several times the app claimed I still needed to turn on my Bluetooth even though it was definitely already on! Overall the app seems ok and works right once you figure everything out, but good luck connecting your phone to your device! If you get easily frustrated and don’t want to sit through troubleshooting for a while, I wouldn’t bother downloading this app and connecting to your phone because it doesn’t provide enough extra benefits that the Evolve Cloud device doesn’t have on its own to be worth the time. Needs improvement, 2/5… please fix the connecting process!!

I understand everyone complains about the setup length. Honestly, it took a while. Asks for all sort of information, agreements to policies, and an update, etc. It was pretty annoying to set up but after a bit, I finally got to the app itself. The best way to put it is “Barely functional”. App is unresponsive to my commands sometimes, like turning the device off or switching to a different tab. Yes, it worked though, which I should give credit to. I just wish there were more customizable options and the colors were more accurate. Green looked like blue, blue looked like purple, and purple looked like red. Not a full color wheel either. Overall, the app was fine as was the device. But unless you have the patience, work it manually and settle for the presets.

I own the Bliss Light Evolve and tried to connect it with the app. There were no instructions in the box and the app did not offer much help. I got timed out a few times, this app is for the wi-fi enabled devices for Bliss Lights and they want to connect to your internet router.

After getting timed out a number of times I moved closer to my router and there were no issues getting connected. I had to be almost next to the router for my device to connect. It would have been so much easier if either the app or the device had instructions to add the device to the app sitting next to the router. After the device was added I moved it to its new home and have had zero issues. The app operates just as it should with minimal additions. I do like that I can set a schedule for the light in the app to turn on and off instead of having to use the app to turn on the device every night (that is why it got 3 stars instead of 2).
