The United States of America is a vast land full of lush forests, stunning deserts, indescribable landscapes, and fascinating history. You may already know some of the iconic landmarks and wildernesses that the US has to offer, but did you know that there are millions of acres of public Bureau of Land Management property in the Western US? This app is your guide to discovering the unspeakable beauty and recreational potential that is contained within these fabled domains!
Whether you are a seasoned forest wanderer or are just wanting to learn a little more about the amazing places surrounding your home turf, this app is for you! The data is up to date as of Summer, 2022, and contains over 53,000 recreational points and other features on BLM land. These points are symbolized with several color-coded icons that differentiate between the . Categories include Access Points, Boating, Campgrounds, POIs, Vistas, Bathrooms, Parking Lots, Recreational Areas, and much more! The app even distinguishes property boundaries and includes some hiking trails and roads.
New in this release! We listened to your requests and have added several improvements and new features including a custom My Points tool! Now you can save your own points of interest and give them a unique color and icon. Mark where you park the car, where you saw a neat feature, or an epic campsite. You can even export these points for use with other devices!
Once using the app, there are five screens. The Guide screen will provide data legends as well as helpful tips for optimizing your navigational experience. On the Info screen, you will find a number of spatial links to the different BLM properties. This is a great way to quickly locate specific places and discover new places to explore! The About screen provides links to all of the open-source resources used in the app and gives a little information about the developer GeoPOI. The Map Settings screen is where you can change between one of four different basemaps, download offline imagery, turn on geolocation, and toggle specific point categories. Finally, the Map screen is where it all comes together!
On the Map screen, there are a series of circle clusters at distant zooms that indicate how many points are within a given cluster. As you tap the clusters to zoom in, individual points and icons become visible, along with trails, roads, and boundaries. These features can be clicked on to reveal the name, location, and other useful information. The map screen also has two search tools - the left one can be used to look up addresses and towns, while the right one will allow you to query the names of the features in the database.

Never before has it been this easy to navigate our public lands as you travel, no matter where in the United States you are or what kinds of places you are interested in visiting. Not very good
Recommended by Bob Wells. Worked when I first opened the app, now it doesn’t show any BLM land at all. And yes, everything is toggles on correctly. Tried emailing company through the app and that’s not working either. Don’t waste your money.
UPDATED: I bumped up the rating because it is a good app when it works.
And thanks for taking five months to get back to me. Most customer service oriented companies reply quicker, but you do you.

The BLM land layer is loaded from a USGS server which occasionally goes down. This was a temporary problem that should be resolved. Temporary server outages are out of our control and should not earn the app a one-star review, so thank you for updating your rating. WORST APP EVER, use iOverlander
This app is insanely slow and overall unuseable TO BE CLEAR THIS IS THE WORST TRAVEL RELATED APP I HAVE EVER USED TRAVELING THE WORLD FOR FOUR YEARS Redowloaded the app to be clear and provide users and Update to the rude response by the dev team — you can see all their replies are completely rude and unprofessional. I will never download an app made by this company ever again. FYI I have a brand new iPhone with 1TB of storage every 10 months. As a photographer it’s a tool and I travel full time for the last four years — I am not paid by iOverlander or any other app

How many terrabytes of storage you use every 10 months is irrelevant, as we are talking about RAM, which is very different than your iCloud storage. It seems your iPhone might have something wrong with it? Thousands of people use this app and you are the first to claim it is 'insanely slow'. This app has a lot of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) data included for offline use, and it requires at least 4 GB of RAM to run properly. Turning off unnecessary layers while using the app will improve performance if necessary. No need to CAPSLOCK; it is a $3 app that works just fine. If you or anyone else is not happy with the app, all you need to do is request a refund. The fact that you haven't done this would seem to indicate you like the app enough to want to keep using it, so thanks for your continued support. We do not believe that defending the performance of our app against inaccurate reviews is 'insanely rude'. Developers are actual people, too. Anyone who is interested in trying this app can do so with no risk and decide for themselves whether or not they like it. You never mention what model your phone is, what version of iOS you use, or any other information that might help detetmine what exactly you think is slow about this app. Your feedback is entirely unhelpful. Great App
App download was easy and quick. App works great, no issues so far. Wanted to write review because I almost didn’t purchase based on other reviews and glad I did. It’s worth it! Reasonable price especially for all the info provided. Using iPhone.
