I do have to say that free business banking, let alone with the possibility of interest on your balance (with specific rules), is definitely enticing. As someone who is just starting his business, I was looking to save money by going this Bluevine option. I am in no hurry, so I tried the bank transfer (with a connected bank accounts) and electronic check deposit options with Bluevine and I must say, it has been over 10days now since I “deposited” a check and it still has NOT posted to the Bluevine account. If you need your funds available immediately after depositing, this will NEVER work for you. 10+ days to see the money post to you account is an unacceptable amount of time, especially when I see the money pulled from the other account within a couple days… But if you are looking for free business checking to start and don’t need money immediately, it can be an option. As I get up and running, I will most definitely be looking for a more acceptable banking option. But, for now, it will work it work for the short term. Don’t expect much from Bluevine and you won’t be too disappointed.

RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN! Slowest processing time of any institution I’ve ever worked with. The only thing they process quickly are there fees they charge which which they market as if they don’t have because they are a digital banking service without the brick and mortar overhead (lies). Have a question about your account? Be prepared to wait at least 2 full business days minimum for a response (often not at all), which honestly doesn’t matter cause you’re not going to like the response they give you anyways. Their digital solution for envelope style banking is definitely more of a bug than a feature and the price for finding that out is a ton of fees and a “hope you learned your lesson” customer support response. It took me over 1 year and 20 different calls, chats, and emails to finally get my account closed. The more hope you have when considering Bluevine, the more pain and agony you will experience because you gave them so much opportunity to take advantage of you. I am a very reasonable person, this is not an overreaction, this is my solemn warning to anyone considering Bluevine for their banking services, run away as fast as you can, before its too late. I was warned but didn’t heed it and now I live in perpetual regret. Faithful customer for one year, then prisoner for over a year. To this day I still haven’t been able to get them to close all my accounts.

When I first opened my BlueVine account (around 9 months ago) everything was working fine. The only problem I had was them putting 12 day holds on less than $1000 checks. Now it's gotten to the point that every time they update the app, my account gets put on hold for "further review". On top of that, they selectively accept checks. Sometimes you go to upload a check and it will deposit, other times you go to upload it and it will say "upload successful" and then turn around and say "the document has failed to upload" and then you have no way to cash the check since you've already wrote "for BlueVine mobile deposit only" on it.When you call about what's happening, all they tell you is that "your account is on hold because they are reviewing your information" and don't give you a reason as to why. They have interrupted my business and my livelihood multiple times now, and I've heard from multiple other people that they will end up NOT REMOVING THE HOLD and stealing your money. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK. They are LIARS, SCAMMERS, THIEVES, and WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS. I cannot believe this has happened to me. All of my hard earned money is just gone. No access whatsoever. Please for the sake of god don't put your money into a BlueVine account unless you want to legally get robbed.

I am a new small business owner and after some research went with Bluevine. Big mistake. While ACH transfers work; the bill pay function does not. My first 3 payments were taken from my account but not received by chase or the mortgage company after 2 months! I have had to pay out of pocket to cover these and now am missing 5k that blue vine says has been deposited but both vendors say they have not received. Customer support has been atrocious. All I need is transmittal reports for the transaction, and bluevine cannot supply them because THEY ARE NOT AN ACTUAL BANK and cannot fulfill basic banking inquiries. They are a middle man, and the real bank is some other coast bank that they have to call to get info from. Total disaster. I will be filing a suit against them.Update: after many calls and waiting I finally was connected to someone at bluevine that was helpful. Got both of these issues sorted. Going from one to 3 stars. Still will not use bill pay with blue vine but ACH works well. Interest is the only perk.
