Since 2012, tens of thousands people have reached their weight-loss goals with Progress, and you can too.
TRACK MORE THAN WEIGHT
The number on the scales isn't the only one that matters. Track waist, hips, chest, arms, thighs, body fat, BMI, and anything else that helps you see your progress. Build a fuller picture of your body, not just a single number.
PROGRESS PHOTOS
Before and after photos make small changes feel real. Take a photo whenever you like, compare any two side by side, and watch the story your body is telling. Photos stay private on your device.
BMI CALCULATOR & TRACKER
Calculate your BMI in seconds and watch how it changes over time. We'll show you where you sit, without the lecture.
BODY FAT TRACKING
Log body fat percentage and follow it as your body composition shifts. Useful when the scales aren't moving but you can feel things changing.
WEIGHT LOSS TRACKER
Whether you're losing, gaining, or maintaining, clean charts and gentle reminders help you stay focused on the journey, not just the destination.
GOALS THAT FIT YOUR LIFE
Set a weight goal, a measurement goal, or no goal at all. Progress works for every kind of journey, whatever you're working towards.
APPLE HEALTH & FITBIT
Sync seamlessly with Apple Health and Fitbit, so your numbers stay up to date without extra work.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your measurements, photos, and notes stay yours. We don't track you, share your data, or show ads.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can I track in Progress?
Weight, body fat, BMI, waist, hips, chest, arms, thighs, neck, calves, and any other measurement that matters to you. You can also add progress photos and notes.
Is Progress a BMI calculator?
Yes. Progress is a full BMI calculator and tracker. Enter your height and weight and we'll calculate your BMI, then track how it changes over time.
Can I compare before and after photos?
Yes. Take progress photos any time and compare any two side by side. It's the easiest way to see changes the scales might miss.
Does Progress sync with Apple Health?
Yes, two-way, so your weight and measurements stay in sync with the rest of your health data. Fitbit is supported too.
Is Progress free?
Yes, you can start tracking for free. Pro unlocks progress photos, unlimited measurement areas, custom reports, past-data entry, Fitbit sync, and more.
Will I be judged for my weight or my goals?
Never. Progress is body positive by design. Every body is different and every goal is valid, whether you're losing weight, gaining muscle, or just want to understand your body better.
How is Progress different from a regular weight tracker?
A weight tracker shows you one number. Progress shows you the whole picture: weight, body measurements, body fat, BMI, and photos, all in one place. When the scales aren't moving, your measurements and photos often tell you they are.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your measurements and photos are stored privately on your device and synced through your own iCloud. We don't sell, share, or look at your data.
Can I use Progress without a goal?
Yes. Set a goal if it helps you stay motivated, or just track for understanding. Both are valid.
Track your measurements, achieve your goals. We're in your corner.

SUCH a great way to track your progress. You can get as involved as tracking measurements for everything from your neck to your waist to both biceps, both forearms, both calves... Or, if you’re not into going to quite THAT extent (I’m no bodybuilder that’s striving for symmetry!), then you can track your weight, water percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, waist-to-hip ratio, BMI...Ultimately, all the bells & whistles are there (including places for photos, if you’d like to track using as many pics as you’d like!)- but you don’t have to use everything that is offered if it’s too much or stresses you out. This is a nice, simple, user friendly interface that lets YOU decide what is best for you, what to track, and how often. I’ve tried multiple progress trackers, and this is the one I swear by as it doesn’t badger me, stress me out, and yet still allows me to pick & choose exactly what data points are important to me personally from a tracking perspective. They also have great graph reporting to help you see your progress/patterns, if you choose to take advantage of that.

Almost Perfect

This will be great for what we want to track. Might I make a suggestion though. Add the ability to add a weight check daily. Obviously I don’t want to measure everything daily but most people like to check their weight each day. Currently you have to do everything for an update. Next it would be great to see some trend charts possibly using something like PowerBI reporting. I haven’t exported data yet so I might be able to do that later but it would be great to have it all in one place. Add those features and this would be a perfect app for me. I would be even willing to pay a slightly higher cost for the subscription fee to have a one stop shop. Overall easy to navigate and I recommend. I did have trouble entering my name where it took a couple tries as it only captured one or two characters but once manipulated and updated it now stays.

Hi there, thank you for your review, we're glad to hear that you're enjoying the app! You don't have to add all your measurements at the same time - if you tap 'Skip Lengths' on the Add Entry screen it will jump straight to weight. The name issue was a bug but this was fixed in a recent release - it should save first time now. As for PowerBI reporting - this sounds interesting, we'll take a look into it :)
Well worth the money

When searching for an app to track measurements, I came across a recommendation for this one and another app. I downloaded the free versions of both and got started. I was tempted to buy the full version to access the photo feature, but hesitant to spend $5 (the other app had similar features and was only $2), but the reviews and the developer’s care and investment in the app impressed me so I decided to go for it. I’m so glad I did. It really matters to me that my info isn’t being sold and that my photos are secure, and that seems to be a priority for this developer. The app is easy to use and really helpful in tracking my fitness journey. I was able to check out a friend who had purchased the full version of the other app I had considered and again I’m impressed by the features and layout of this one- definitely made the right choice.

Great Tracker & Customer Service
Nrdog
When I first downloaded the app I had issues with it and emailed support. They were most helpful and upgraded me to pro for all my issues. I just emailed again with a question and heard within hours. The developers care about their app and their customers who use it which is getting to be rare it seems. I love being able to easily track different measurements and although I haven’t used the photo section yet it is a nice way of viewing progress. What I’m not sure about is how it works with FitBit because I don’t see any updates in FitBit coming from Progress but that being said I may not know what it’s doing and my FitBit app has been acting up so I cannot fault Progress for that. I’m sure if it is on Progress side their wonderful Support will take care of the issue. They do have a free measurement guide that they email. I wish it was part of the measurements themselves so you can see how to measure directly in the same screen you add it. That would be my only recommendation. If you want a simple tracker and great support, this app is definitely for you.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, it totally made our week! We pride ourselves on taking care of our users and making the app the best it can possibly be 💚 Please send us a message about the issue you're having with your FitBit and we can take a look.
You can now log a measurement without opening the app. Say "Hey Siri, log my waist in Progress", give the number however feels natural, and it lands on today's entry. It works for everything you track, including the measurements you have named yourself. You can also ask what is left to log today. Siri now answers to "body measurement tracker" as well as "Progress", and speaks French, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
Waist to height ratio has joined BMI as a calculated field. Switch it on in What I Track, add your height, and My Progress gives it its own card and chart with the healthy range marked out. There is a link to the NHS guidance if you would like to read more.
Managing your subscription is simpler too. Go to Me, then Help and Support, and it is all in one place.
We also fixed weights in stones showing differently between My Progress and Results, and tidied up how custom measurements appear in Spotlight.
Thanks as always,
Your Team @ Progress
