So far so good

Pro: I like that it gives you a ton of information! I especially the body type analysis. The information is useful and I am excited to see my future scans

Cons: Pricey gamble, I wish they gave you one full scan with all the info before making you pay, or a trial of some sort. I hate not knowing what I’m getting and at a steep price.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. We will take this back to the team.

Game Changer

This app is a game changer in mapping my fitness progress! Because the scale tells an incomplete fitness story, I used to measure body parts with a cloth tape to track my progress. That was so time consuming and honestly, I likely inaccurate as I had to estimate exactly where to measure (while my body is changing). This is so easy - AND ACCURATE! Yep, I measured with the tape after the scan the first 2 times to verify. I’m hooked. It’s great to see my progress weekly as others see it with the avatar. My one and only complaint is that there isn’t a way for me to share an invitation for my friends and workout buddies to join inside the app.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We will definitely take this back to the team as a future feature request.

I was hoping this would be a good tool to monitor my members adipose tissue, but I dare say it’s good to monitor anything but the creators investments lining their pockets.

Pros: there really isn’t any. The app is highly priced and the free version doesn’t show you anything. The scanning is supposed to be thermal, but I really don’t believe that it is, but we all know thermal scanning can be skewed based off just room temperature. There are far too many variables in play with that method. The app is supposed to show body fat, but again, how? I have a lot of experience with DXA and even in body; I have cool letters after my name from big institutions, and a love for science; my point is that I’m not just some guy who went to a weekend course and opened a garage gym with my parents money.

Cons: the app is over priced for the lack of output. There’s not real measurements. It doesn’t even care if your weight is accurate. There’s no control like a caliper/pinch, or manual measure test needed.

Overall, don’t waste your time like I did. I was really hoping this app was going to be a game changer. Hopefully the developer reads these and changes their style to be for the betterment of society and get rid of their monetary hunger.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Kindly note that we use depth sensors that takes 3D data, not temperature. The 3D data is used for calculating body composition, based on existing research papers published. We hope this clarifies some of your concerns. Any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us at support@bodymapp.com. Thank you and we wish you a lovely rest of your day.
