How it works:
Do I need a subscription to use Bold?
Yes, users need to purchase a subscription to be able to use the app. There’s a 7 day free trial and then it’s $4.99 per month.
Is Bold a medical provider? Is Bold a replacement for therapy?
No, Bold is providing a mobile app for guided journaling in the health & mindfulness space. However, Bold is not a health care or medical provider, nor should our service be considered medical advice. Only your doctor or other health care provider can do that. While there is third party evidence and common knowledge that journaling can assist in the prevention and recovery process for many mental conditions as well as in improving some performance and relationship issues, Bold makes no claims, representations or guarantees that the service provide a therapeutic benefit.

It’s worth the $5 monthly
This is a gratitude & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy journal with prompts & I love using it. Through the 5 minutes I spend on this daily, it has helped me see that HOW I think affects WHAT I think. My thinking had become so distorted, it had created selective mutism/social anxiety, anxiety & depression. It was so bad some days I couldn’t make myself walk out the door to do “optional” things - like keep hair or doctor appts. I couldn’t even shop for groceries until late - when I knew no one would be around. I can work (not optional), but getting out the door is a huge struggle.
I have been writing in this journal for almost 2 months and recently started reading the related articles & doing those exercises. I can honestly say it has helped. I still struggle with walking out the door, but the struggle has lessened. AND I am learning to catch my aberrant thought patterns before they escalate from 💭 to fight/flight/freeze/fawn to overwhelm & full-blown anxiety.
This app has been a life-changer for me.
Just do the work. It can help you too

It warms my heart to hear this small app has made a difference in your life. I really appreciate you sharing your story. Please let me know if theres ever anything else that I can do to support your journey. Thank you 🙏
I got this app on a whim. Yea I had tried gratitude journals in the past, and had not found it fulfilling to have a dedicated journal/app for it in the past, but this app surprised me. It asked so little of me that it was so easy to find the time for it. Eventually it was a go to at the start of every lunch break at my unfulfilling job. 5 minutes where I could stop, reflect, and rewire my brain so simply with just 3 things a day. This app and the positive psychology/CBT exercises helped me breakdown the insurmountable gloom of my depression and anxiety by allowing me to finally find a few minutes a day where I can thrive. Thriving is contagious, and I have enjoyed seeing those few minutes a day grow over weeks and months to a safe place where I can be happy in the face of an uncertain world. DO download this app. DO TYPE 3 things in it a once a day. WAIT to see what follows. You may be surprised and see your gratitude for what you have grow in new ways.

Thankful = Mindful
The app design is great making it super easy to use! I have a reminder set each day so I can enter what I’m grateful for and it always makes me smile when I actually stop for a minute during my busy, stressful day to think about something I am lucky to have in my life, no matter how small. I’ve noticed that this has increased my mindfulness as well as improved my overall mood. Knowing I’ll get that reminder to write something, I find myself focusing on positives more. I’m thankful for this app!!!!
