What the hell BOLT?!?
Tried to use your scooters tonight. I have been riding for months and never once had an issue. Tonight, The only option that I was given was to put a 9.95 Deposit on to scooters. I’m riding by myself I don’t need to scooters. Also when I put down the deposit thinking I do the deposit and then I get the rest back, it didn’t unlock the scooter. This is colossal BS you need to put it back the way that it was because the other way works. Also you need to start cracking down on underage users, because on Fort Lauderdale beach I see people as young as six and seven years old riding scooters by themselves

Lots of Low Battery Scooters
The Blot app is super easy to use and the scooters are easy to ride once you get accustomed to them. This is the first weekend they are available in Richmond so it was pretty difficult to find one but I think that will calm down after everyone is done trying them out. The two biggest issues I noticed are that if a scooter has a low battery you can’t rent it but it still shows up on the map. There were a ton of scooters near us but all sitting at 14% or less battery and it won’t actually let you ride them when they are low. They should drop off that map is they aren’t available like that, it is really annoying clicking around on 15 nearby scooters to try and find one that is actually available. The map also doesn’t update automatically. When you finally find one nearby that is not on low battery by the time you walk there it has been grabbed by someone else but the map still shows it as available. You just have to keep killing the app and reopening it to see the most recent locations. It would be nice for the map to automatically refresh when someone picks up a scooter or at least have a way to manually refresh.
Great design, unreliable ride...:(
This happened: My wife and I rented two Bolt Scooters and had fun when they were running. Unfortunately they shut off and locked a lot during our ride, it was even dangerous at times. The scooters would shut off and lock even while the scooter was in motion. Navigating your path through traffic is difficult when your scoot powers down mid ride, it leaves you open for an accident. Seeing as the scooters were unreliable we will not be renting again. We have tried lime scooters in the past and found them to be convenient and easy to ride and operate. We loved the ride style and design of your scooters where the rider has forward turned feet. Excellent choice! We just wish the ride experience was a bit more seamless and smooth. Too much interaction with the app, having to start the ride from random locks is not ideal. It makes the ride feel choppy and out of your own control. Rode in Portland Oregon around their downtown metropolitan area. Maybe it’s the regulations set in by local law? Or the app and scoots could use an update? Not sure but if the ride was smoother I would cruise again.
