App works, prices are fair
The app works and prices aren’t bad. Especially if you use coupons, but I would say the app definitely needs improvement.
Download speeds aren’t great and the interface needs to be updated. I would say the sign-in process needs to be updated so it doesn’t have you signing in through the web browser as well...
Nice platform, but app experience needs improving
I really like BookWalker as I can integrate and view my purchased items from all its three sites (Taiwan, global, and Japan) in one single app. The app itself, however, definitely needs a lot of improving. Typography is really badly designed. I hope the app could support more fonts and allow for more reading options such as line spacing. I understand it is common to read a Japanese book that is vertically aligned, but since Japanese do read horizontally aligned books, I wish the app could support horizontal alignment as well.
Crashes!!!
Bookwalker app is decent; however, sometimes when i try to read through a light novel the app will suddenly crash and once i reopen the app, the bookwalker logo would appear for a few min until the app crashes. This process would happen everytime i reopen the app. Restarting my phone would sometime fix this issue, but the problem still occur even after restarting my phone for 50% of the time. Overall the app is decent. I would give bookwalker a higher rating, if only the crashes wouldn’t happen so often.
