Exactly What I Wanted

I rarely leave reviews for apps- even the ones I like and use all the time. But rarely does an app leave me so impressed as this one has. So I had to leave a review!
As a homeschooling family, one of our state requirements is to keep a list of all reading material we use throughout the school year. I thought about just saving all my library receipts- but let’s face it- who can keep track of those little pieces of paper. So I thought I would start a spreadsheet. But it was going to be time consuming. If only there was an app that I could just scan the book and it would upload all the info! Well- this is it. But the customizable book shelves let’s me separate per child. It lets me record start and end date of the book. It lets me add multiple times reading the book. I can review the book in my library to know whether or not it’s a book we liked or didn’t like. And best of all. Any time I want, I can export to a csv file and have that spreadsheet right at my fingertips!!!

Best option for book tracking hands down

This is the best app for keeping track of your library. I have tried half a dozen other apps and each of them was missing something. This is the first one to actually have the features I want and it’s basically free to use as well. It supports barcode scanning and ISBN text recognition without having to change modes which makes it perfect for a collection that my have thrift store stickers covering the barcodes or hard bound books missing their slip covers. It also supports search by title and manual entry for more elusive titles.

The only thing I wish this app had is support for movies as I have a large collection of movies on my shelf as well and I have yet to find an app as good as this to keep track of them. The only other feature I could think of to make this better is book cover recognition, but I doubt that’s possible and even if it is possible, I doubt it would be easy.

Love batch scan, tagging, privacy protection - also a few suggestions

I love this app - particularly the display, ability to sort by tag, batch ISBN scanning, and how it doesn’t collect unnecessary personal data. After looking into alternatives, I’m glad I chose it and I definitely recommend it.
I have a few suggestions for future updates. First, I have specialized genres that aren’t included in the auto-assigned categories, so i set my genres by tagging - it is slow and I would like to be able to select a bunch of books and then assign them the same tag. I also wish that when a book doesn’t have an ISBN barcode, I wish I could put in the ISBN manually and the app would search for the book, rather than manually inputting all the data and taking a photo of the cover (which is honestly more effort than I do, but would be nice to have the cover). Finally, it would be great to have a web-based version, because I could manually input books without ISBN barcodes faster on my computer than my phone.
