New Megaboom app of as good as old one
The new combined app is a bit more complied that old one. But biggest disappointment in new one is the automatic setting to to remote power on. This setting is used so that you can turn on speaker from app. The problem is that setting drains concertante power unit while on. So it you leave your speakers off for long periods of time. You may have r to recharge to use. The old app allowed you to turn this feature on and off so if you used speaker frequently you could leave remote power on so you could power speaker on/off with app. Or if you were going to leave speaker for a few weeks you could turn remote power off thereby conserving considerable battery usage while not in use. Please return this setting to app.
Cannot connect to older mega boom
I have 3 mega booms. 1 older one (purple) and 2 newer ones (red and blue, which I purchased at the same time).
With this version of the app the old speaker (purple) doesn't connect anymore. I tried deleting from the app and re-adding it and now it cannot even be added. I followed the instructions under help. I even removed it and re-paired with the phone.
The other 2 speakers work fine. All 3 of them were all brought up to the latest firmware for months now. They've been working all fine with this app until a few days ago.
They only thing that changed is the app (based on the version history).
Please fix it. I can't use one of my speakers at all and it's been working fine. I spent quite a bit of money on all 3 and I love playing all of them at the same time.
Don’t waste your time. Generic responses from app developer too
All the negative reviews are the honest ones. I’ve tried, the Verizon store has tried multiple times to get 2 speakers to be used simultaneously with the app. Never worked. The app would always reject one or the other of the speakers. Both speakers have up to date firmware. The app is also the latest version. Bottom line.....this app has always been a p.o.s.
So don’t waste your time buying their products if you want to use multiple speakers for stereo sound. And it doesn’t even work as doubled up.
