Manage your thyroid health better.
Do you want to improve your energy, focus, digestion, or sleep quality?
BOOST Thyroid can help with any or all of these goals. You can now measure how your diet, physical activity or treatment impact fifteen of the most common symptoms experienced in hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s. We are integrated with Apple HealthKit where you can opt-in to share your active energy, basal body temperature, heart rate, sleep analysis and weight with our app.

Record and keep track of your expanded thyroid blood lab tests: thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free triiodothyronine (fT3), free thyroxine (fT4), reverse triiodothyronine (rT3), thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb), thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb), vitamin B and D, cortisol, glucose, sodium, potassium, and iron.

Set reminders to take your medication on time and get information about the latest research.

We used peer-reviewed scientific research on autoimmune conditions to build our app.
Our collaborators are the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and University of Oxford in the UK. We are awarded European Commission's Seal of Excellence.

Autoimmune conditions are on the increase in the past 50 years, mostly because of the industrialized world diet and lifestyle.
People with autoimmune diseases experience many recognized food sensitivities .
Science increasingly recognizes the need for personalized approaches and for good communication between patients and doctor to better manage the condition.

Stacieroo ,

So helpful!

This app really helps me keep things together and I always have it with me. I love that you can keep notes. Can’t wait for there to be enough info to graph.
I wish you could personalize the medications and supplements. If there was a way to set a alarm or notification through the app to remind you to take things it would be nice.

Hey Stacieroo,

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words :)
We are working on more personalisation, and hope you will like it.
We do have reminders, you can find them in the app settings (last button on the bottom tab bar should get you there).
If you have any more feedback or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at hello@boostthyroid.com

Worst update yet - BMR FEATURE Fail

So this new version has fully implemented the mysterious BMR feature, which purports to tell you how many calories you should eat to lose the weight you've gained from being hypothyroid. It's a low number of course because the illness lowers your metabolism. It estimates this feature solely from age, height & weight, irrespective of thyroid hormone dose. Since the WHOLE GOAL of medical treatment is to give you enough hormone to return your metabolism to normal, unless the app takes dosage into account, this estimated number is useless & even anxiety promoting. We hypothyroid people are anxious enough already. When I was diagnosed my Endo told me specifically to STOP DIETING because it's stressful to the thyroid & of itself lowers metabolism. So this app wants me to eat less than 1000 calories a day. I'm supposed to raise my metabolism with medicine but tank it by ultra-low calories dieting? A better way to check metabolism - which we want to increase not decrease - would be daily body temperatures. Temperatures should replace this horrible BMR feature. Once I have my medicine dosage right, my metabolism will return & my body will go back to maintaining its natural weight setpoint. This app has lost the plot with this feature. And what's worse, I can't even turn it off! Please fix. Ty.

Thank you for your feedback tangogirlny,
Our BMR feature is fresh in the app, and we will soon follow with more information, in the meantime, you can read more on our blog: https://medium.com/boosted/thyroid-weight-and-bmr-cbecf52ed667
We are currently working on improving the technology of our bot. It is not meant to mimic human conversation, but to give you a basic set of knowledge on the thyroid and autoimmunity.
And of course, we are working on additional features, which you might find useful for your daily logging.
Thank you again for a very constructive feedback, and wishing you a great rest of the week!

Great app but I wish I could add my own supplements and medications

I wish we could add our supplements, the ones listed are general ones but not all Hashimotos patients need those supplements and there are many more that could be added and / or give the function to add your own (such as magnesium, adrenal support) also for medications I wish we could add some as well- for instance what if one has to take an antibiotic for a sickness they came across- it would be nice to be able to add it and then see how that affects the other symptoms and such as well. Or for people who are prescribed to multiple medications besides the thyroid medications. You also wish the notes section allowed more changes so we can comment on specific symptoms we noticed getting better / worse ; or other comments such as on diet and any stressors. If these items were added I wouldn’t have to keep a separate paper journal for my thyroid health and could have it all simply on this app!!

Besides the above items, I really like this app. I also really enjoy the random facts and the little boost thyroid robot that gives random facts !! Very creative and makes it more fun/personable. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for your feedback Blilynelayna,

We hear you, and we are working on improving the app. We are a science backed app, meaning we only show what is supported by peer-reviewed scientific research. At this moment our focus is Hashimoto's and underactive thyroid.
If you wish to give us more feedback, and be in our test group, please contact us on hello@boostthyroid.com
