Works fine!

The recent reviews made me hesitant to get an e subscription to the Herald. I have an old iPad (iOs 9). This loads quickly, pages change easily, resolution is fine. No complaints.

Breaking news is broken

Tap new notifications and maybe the article will open up in the app. But mostly it attempts to open up the browser and load it there. But then it overlays the article with a subscription offer and 2 ads. By the time you clear those the breaking news is gone. And it is no where to be found either in the app in the browser or in notifications. If I wait a few hours it will be in the app defeating the purpose of Breaking News and is now old news.

Also pick 1 or 2 categories for an article seeing the same article in every category means you have no clue as to what the article is about.

This is an Improvement

How does this app have a 4.4 rating? This is an improvement, the layout is terrible. The same headlines are repeated in the different sections as you scroll down. Why do we have to see the same headlines more than once? I agree with another review, there was nothing wrong with the layout of the previous app. I don’t get it? Someone or some department is supposed to feel good about the job they did with this, better go back to the drawing board!
