Mixed experiences, app needs some work
Have been a long-time customer but last few orders have been problematic - not from a quality/recipient perspective, but from a sender/CX perspective. Biggest issue w the app: my order history is gone (and I ordered as recently as 2 weeks ago); with order history gone, it's also impossible to check the status of recent orders (so I have to email customer service). Packing / shipping / delivery notifications also rarely work (they often arrive all at once). Really like the design / mission and "feel" of bouqs, but if I don't have transparency on the order and fulfillment process it's difficult to remain a customer. Hope the site/app is improved.
I was a new customer who loved the idea of a subscription flower service. I ordered flowers to make my sick wife feel better. I received the flowers withered, dried, and in horrible condition. I sent a picture to complain and curtly received a arrogant response and a 10% promo coupon. I had requested a refund and they said no, making excuses up that these are “fresh from farm and can take a day or two to bloom.” I explained and sent a photo the first time that was 36 hours after delivery in the dead condition in my first email. The arrogant customer service rep disregarded my explanation that I am a gardener and know the difference. They also dismissed when I said I’ve order for 20 years from other services and know all to well what flowers should look like upon arrival. I sent a second email and they asked me to send a photo a couple days after receipt just in case I was wrong. The flowers are still dead- surprise. Rude, dismissive, horrible customer service, almost as bad as the diseased flowers they sent. Oh did I mention the dead flowers came with a spider! I do not recommend this company no matter how pretty the website.
Beware: Do NOT Buy from The Bouqs Co.
A once loyal, repeat customer, I’ll never again patronize The Bouqs Co. after how their customer service team atrociously handled a recent problem with an order.
In short, just days before Mother’s Day, a customer service representative unwarrantedly canceled an arrangement I had purchased a week or so prior due to a pricing error on their end. I had ordered two bouqs and kindly asked (repeatedly) that they cancel the other “just because” arrangement rather than the one I specifically ordered for my mother. They refused and instead cancelled the order I had relied upon as my Mother’s Day present, leaving me little time to find an alternative service. Luckily I did—1800Flowers, which I highly recommend. They were courteous, understanding, and even offered me a significant discount on THEIR product for my hassle with The Bouqs Co. That’s how business should be done.
The Bouqs Co. lost myself, my friends, and family as customers consequent of the way they handled this issue. In effect, they valued my longtime, repeat business at less than $40 (the amount of the price error they refused to honor).
Buyer beware of The Bouqs Co. Patronize your local, small-business florist instead—or at least another company that trains its employees to value their customers!
