Brewlight is a free native macOS companion for Homebrew users who want clearer visibility without handing control of their tools to another app.
Browse public Homebrew formula and cask metadata, search across package details, inspect a user-selected Homebrew prefix in read-only mode, and review package details in a focused Mac interface.
Brewlight can help you understand installed packages, latest-known versions, cleanup context, and Homebrew services guidance. When a command may be useful, Brewlight shows the exact command in a preview sheet so you can copy it and run it manually in Terminal if you choose.
Brewlight for the Mac App Store does not run Homebrew commands. It does not install, update, uninstall, clean up, start services, stop services, request administrator privileges, install helper tools, or modify your Homebrew installation.
