Update convention card

Wonderful way to practice, especially when it tells you what the robots would have made with that hand, and will show you how they made it. What I like the most that it plays according to the convention card you select. what I miss is to updat the convention card for exactly how I play. Now it’s close, which is helpful

Review of new version

Prior iteration was VASTLY better than this new “Casualino” version. An enormous step backward. You can’t go back to see the original hand after the hand has been played out. The only way to learn is to compare scores and then go back and see why your score fell short. Other aspects of this version also don’t measure up to the prior version. You butchered a fabulous game, one that outshines all other single player duplicate bridge games.

Problems with this and the prior version: The computer doesn’t get that overcalls can be made with fewer points. The computer doesn’t understand lead-directing doubles. The computer seems reluctant to lead a suit that partner bid when choosing opening leads.

Needs updates to fix errors

The latest version of Bridge Baron still has errors that beg for a fix. When your partner makes an opening lead, the dummy hand does not get displayed immediately. Instead, it only is displayed when a card is led for the second trick. When I am declarer, the dummy hand is revealed before my l left hand opponent makes the opening lead. And still, dummy’s trumps are not placed on the left side of the dummy’s hand. I contacted the developers about these issues and got a mystifying response, basically saying “Too bad. Deal with it.” And worst of all, they want $5 per month to use the app. I much preferred the earlier versions, which did not require a monthly subscription fee. Sad.
