Such a disappointnent

What a disappointment. Bridge Baron has apparently been updated in iPhone. Three days ago it wouldn’t open properly—said “Loading” and hung. This went on for two days. Eventually, I reinstalled the app. I am amazed that the new version has been released. Not only are there no discernible improvements—but the functionality has gone backwards. It’s immediately apparent that something has gone wrong because it no longer has the look and feel of a bridge table. I doubt if the new version was reviewed by an experienced bridge player. Here are a few examples of what’s gone wrong: 1. It’s hard to see the cards. 2. The arrows point counter intuitively as the cards are played. Instead of pointing in the direction of the winner they point to the last card played. 3. When the contract is established the dummy doesn’t move to the top as it did in the old version, so declarer doesn’t have the sense of which players cards can and can’t be seen by defenders. 4. The “review” function requires a swipe to see each round of play so you can’t see all the prior rounds at a glance. Please bring the old version back!

New update is ridiculous

When are you going to allow people to just use their $20 subscription and stop the nonsense of a trial for six months. I too am going to contact Apple regarding your fraudulent practices (as this is the second time you have done this). Perhaps a class action lawsuit needs to be addressed. As a follow up to your response, this has not been fixed. All you have done is offer a six month free subscription. If I am missing something, please let me know. I am sure many others would like to know as well. Never have I experience such fraud in a game app as this. I purchased the original for myself and my parents and then the gold for all of us. Now you want a monthly fee. Get trumped. NOT HAPPENING. I have paid $80 for both my Mom and I to have the original and last upgrade you pulled out of your hat. This is fraud and I hope you find no one wanting to enjoy any of your games. There are other options and I am sure we will all find great alternatives. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I’ve paid for this game twice and now you want me to pay monthly?

This is the best bridge game I’ve tried, but I’m now paid for it twice, first as Bridge Baron and then as Bridge Baron Gold. The price was significantly more than I’ve ever paid for any other game. Now, you want me to pay by the month. I’ve already paid for the game. Let me play the old game and charge for the new features. At this point, I do not trust this company to ever pay again because apparently my previous payments did not count for anything.

2024 Update: They did it again, this time with no option to pay the $20 again. They updated the game, but will not recognize my 2 previous purchases. Now they want $4.99/month for a game I’ve already paid for. The Macintosh version is only $65, so in 13 months, I would have paid more for an IOS version and I would need to continue paying. Also, the new version will not play in landscape mode on my iPad which is the way I usually play this game.
