hate the user interface ,

Micro transaction to use after so many notes.

I read about this app through an article, looked up the website and saw where people had been posting their experiences. I downloaded the app and tried it for myself.

I love the concept and it works great, even with my poor handwriting.
However... to do anything you have to use “coins”. Aka micro transactions. You start with 20ish coins and each picture, voice or typed note costs various coins. So if you use it a lot you will eventually pay to use.

I’d rather just pay $5 and have unlimited use, or a subscription for the same. I understand it’s still in development and the cost will fund its future development but the coin thing is why I immediately uninstalled it. Why would I use an app that drains my finances with each use?

I hope this helps since there are no other reviews on this yet.

Developer Response ,

We appreciate you taking the time for this feedback. It's great to hear the handwriting recognition feature is working well for you!

Capturing unlimited notes with text and voice is free in Brill. Using the camera feature, you can capture multiple notes at once and pay-as-you-go.

Also, we revisit our token system based on feedback like yours to ensure we can provide you with the best value, whilst also ensuring we can keep the lights on.
Some of these issues will be addressed in our next release, and we would love for you to re-install the app and give it another try.

Please get it touch with us at as we would like to offer some help and hear any more feedback you may have.

Might be great, but no iPad version=no game

In 2019, to use a popular new app on my iPad in “sideways iPhone mode”? I don’t think so. Considering the number of iPads Apple has sold, it’s certainly worth the time and effort to support iPads in horizontal mode (e.g. the way every iPad user will use his device).

Developer Response ,

Hi Peter, Apple allows the app to be used on iPad however we have not optimised for the device just yet - however keep an eye out as it's on our radar as more people request it. We appreciate you taking the time to feed back to us. If you would like to get in touch with us you can always email - we would love to hear from you!

Expensive subscription

Interesting concept, specially Cards to vision.
However, really expensive and does not replace a Trello / TFS.

Developer Response ,

Hi Veiga,
Due to technical limitations its currently not possible to perform the Vision ML on-device. However, good news - in the next update we’ll be removing the token system and making vision free. 🎉 If you have anymore feedback please feel free to get in touch via!
