Great Hardware w/ Promising Software

Bought a new home and outfitted it with Brilliant light switches throughout. Instructions are clear and product works great. I only have two issues with the product so far.

1- the app lacks many settings that you can only modify through the touch panel. For an app centric product this is a huge pitfall.

2- the dimming function lacks granular settings. I have two sets of lights in a row controlled by the dimmer and home control that I can never get to dim at the same level. For some reason the same lights on a Lutron dimmer can get much dimmer than any of the two brilliant devices.

Thanks for the feedback about being able to modify your settings via the mobile app. This is something we are working to improve.

Can you please reach out to our support group to discuss the dimming issue you are experiencing?

Smart Home Hub...

I originally pulled this down to configure the Brilliant light switch I purchased. What I am realizing is this could be a much bigger aspect of the Brilliant line. They have a really clean way of integrating many products in a way that say a Control 4 system does. So yes the light switches are great but the app along with it makes for a really nice single solution to manage your smart home. Looking forward to seeing the ability to copy scenes so it’s easy to make variations without re-programming everything. Also would like to see the ability to configure devices from the app like you can do on the switches.

Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to hear Brilliant is helping to unify your smart home. We are looking to implement the features you mentioned, stay tuned for updates!

January 2021 Update Unusable

The new update creates the need for me to reconnect my 3-panel switch more than 10 times per day. It’s disconnected from the internet more than it’s connected. There are a couple features that would improve this:
1) Allow the device to remember the network password so it doesn’t have to be entered every time. This was probably the case before the update, but I never had to enter my password again before this.
2) Allow feedback via the iOS app so this can be fixed. There is an option to ping help on the device, but without internet access it’s pretty useless.

Overall it’s a great device, but if they don’t fix the problem soon I’ll likely return it, right now it’s an overly expensive and small digital photo album
