Good, but a work in progress
I have several of these expensive switches installed now and can say they are very cool. The latest version of the app that added bulk upload of photos works on the iPhone, but stalls reading the photo library on the iPad Pro, a bit frustrating.
As far as the switches go, its clear that the firmware is still being worked and I like the fact that they have an auto update features, so I have hopes that these things will get fixed. The Smartthings integration seems to have problems, in fact, I can’t even get it to work with the Smartthings Hub v3 even though the support documentation says it works. I assume this will get fixed eventually.
The hardware/firmware that this app supports is very cool, but is clearly a work in progress. The app, is progressing with incremental new features, but probably needs a bit more testing.
Would like to see TP-Link’s KASA integration.

Hi, thank you for your feedback.
Regarding your issues with connecting your SmartThings Hub v3 and the iPad Photo Library, have you contacted our support at email@example.com? We would love to assist you in resolving both of these issues. Note, we actually use the SmartThings Hub v3 in our own testing.
Only for very early adopters
Update: After several months I now have to drop this to one star. HomeKit support promised in spring is still not here. Even Alexa support is bad. I have a 3 switch unit in the kitchen. If I issue an Alexa turn off kitchen command 90 percent of the time 2 lights will turn off and the other will turn back on. Expensive and great quality would be acceptable but these devices are expensive and poor quality.
This device looked so promising and may end up great over time. But I can’t recommend the hardware or software if you have any other smart home devices at this point
There is no way through this app or device to see all your Alexa devices on the touch screen. You can control with voice but you can use a $30 echo for that. The speaker is also horrible. I didn’t expect much but it is far worse than an echo. If you turn up the volume enough to hear through a moderate size room it will be distorted. I don’t see any software updates that will be able to fix that hardware flaw. I would have shrunk the screen to 75% its size and put in a better speaker.

Hi! Thank you for the feedback. Our device does not currently display devices paired to the Alexa ecosystem, but you can connect many of those devices directly to Brilliant. We would love to hear more about your experience and if we can help at all at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Smart Home Hub...
I originally pulled this down to configure the Brilliant light switch I purchased. What I am realizing is this could be a much bigger aspect of the Brilliant line. They have a really clean way of integrating many products in a way that say a Control 4 system does. So yes the light switches are great but the app along with it makes for a really nice single solution to manage your smart home. Looking forward to seeing the ability to copy scenes so it’s easy to make variations without re-programming everything. Also would like to see the ability to configure devices from the app like you can do on the switches.
