Description

One of the big reasons iPhone and iPad users are so devoted is the easy, intuitive integration with thousands of dependable and easy-to-use apps. That's why the Brinks Home Security app is so appealing: It lets either device control almost every function of your home security alarm system and smart-home automation.

The perfect interaction

With compatible equipment and interactive functionality from Alarm.com, the Brinks Home Security app lets you manage your home from virtually anywhere. Go beyond the traditional home security alarm and add home security cameras, lights, locks, thermostats, garage-door openers and other devices to your system. After that, all it takes is a swipe or a tap to control your security and home automation devices and be aware of what s happening at
a moment's notice.

More than basic security

The Brinks Home Security app allows you to interact with your home security alarm system whether you're upstairs or uptown. Use our smart home solution to arm or disarm your system, lock or unlock doors, check the garage
door, or use a video doorbell to see who s there. There s no need to worry about forgetting to secure your house; just check it from wherever you are.

An extra set of eyes

Home security cameras are a popular addition to Brinks Home Security. Live or recorded video let you know what's going on while you're not home. It's easy to keep an eye on kids, pets or property.

Energy management

Smart thermostats are popular not just for convenience but for energy savings. Control your thermostat remotely, set up a schedule that fits your lifestyle, or let your thermostat determine your patterns and adjust
accordingly to maximize savings.

Control your lights

Remote management of your lighting is another great way to save energy. It's also a proven deterrent to would-be burglars, since they like it when no one's home. Keep them wondering by setting a schedule or by turning lights
on throughout your smart home when it gets dark and you're running late.

Just the beginning

Geo-fencing, which uses your location to automatically take useful actions while you're out. These range from real-time notifications such as a garage door that s been left open to functions like adjusting your thermostator turning on your lights. Just define a circular "geo-fence" in your Brinks Home Security app and let your smartphone do the rest.
Real-time email, text, and push notifications for potential emergencies, such as home security alarms, break-ins, and equipment failures.
Notification for specific events, such as when your kids get home from school, or when your housekeeper or petsitter are in the house.

Note: This app requires you to have a compatible smart-home system and interactive Alarm.com service plan. Feature availability varies based on system, equipment, and service plan. Visit www.brinkshome.com for more

Great app - easy to use

I love the app and would rate it a 5+ if it would allow seeing every frame on camera SVR playback when scrolling. My prior security system allowed this (just like your phone camera does when you are scrolling through a video). If you are looking for something on the saved video, it is awesome to have the frame by frame option. With this app the screen is blank as you scroll. Yes, it has a high speed option up to x16, but that is literally useless when trying to locate something on the saved camera video and you have no clue what day or time it happened. For instance, coming home from being out of town for a week we noticed some sort of critter burrowed under the driveway. So far we have been unable to get a clear view to identify the critter when it comes and goes. If I could scroll frame by frame this would be easy to locate. Please consider adding this change. Thank you.

Takes advantage of senior citizens

My dad as Alzheimer’s and I know that the salesman could see that because my dad repeats things over and over again. If a salesperson sees that someone forgets and continues to ask the same question, why would they continue to try to make a deal with them. I called my dad to see what he was doing and he says, “this nice man is installing a security system.” I have power of attorney and didn’t know anything about it. So I immediately went over there and my dad didn’t know what was going on and the technician told me that he could tell something wasn’t right. The technician called his boss and the boss said that my brother (who self medicates) said it was okay. No. The salesman doesn’t know what goes on in my family and should never overlook things when they just don’t seem right. After that I has to move my dad to a senior company so he wouldn’t get taken advantage anymore in his house by people who “self medicate” and brinks wants $200 to transfer his account or pay $4000 to get out the contract. This is what people are doing to senior citizens these days. Ridiculous. Not to mention my dad already has ADT! Brinks should have just left it alone and stop the competition that my elderly father now has to pay for.

One of the worst experience.

All this experience has been really disappointing. From the moment a man knocked on the door my mom (who does not speak much English) tried to recline her offer but the man asked him many things with which my mom did not understand and tried to answer some of the things he told her so the man began to fill things that afternoon another man arrived to install a tablet, door sensors, and a doorbell with a camera. We started with the doorbell camera never worked we changed houses and we had to pay for the installation of the new house (it was supposed to be free) and then if we wanted to put the doorbell with the camera we had to pay a separate amount to be able to install it. To all that before changing we called to cancel (according to the man we could cancel whenever we wanted) after trying to cancel it came out that we had a contract for 5 years. but if we want to cancel it we need to paid everything that is 3,744 dollars. I feel that is very unfair that they take advantage of people who don't know much about the language. the service is also very bad and really expensive.
