*Broad + Liberty* is a news and editorial outlet dedicated to freedom of thought and giving voice to issues and ideas that have been shut out of our discourse for too long. Based in Philadelphia, we are a nonprofit built to promote innovative ideas, diverse and disruptive viewpoints, and positive policies that hit home for our readers, supporters and followers.
For readers in a “keystone” region of millions of people, we have grown into the de facto source of fact-based news and divergent political editorial commentary that readers cannot find anywhere else – provoking thought, challenging ideological assumptions, and offering a perspective on the issues that matter.

Great Paper! Great material and Journalism!
When I moved to Philadelphia, I was searching for a reliable newspaper to help me understand the region and stay informed about city life. Like many others, I naturally turned to The Inquirer, the area’s de facto newspaper. However, after a few months, I found its articles lacking the depth and intellectual rigor I expected from a major publication. The overall coverage felt shallow, leaving me disappointed.
In contrast, this newspaper truly stands out. I don’t remember exactly how I first discovered it, but I began reading through an emailed newsletter. Since then, I’ve become a dedicated daily reader, and I couldn’t be happier. The articles are thoroughly researched and well-investigated, offering insightful analysis of regional politics and critical issues. The level of journalism is refreshing, providing the deep, thoughtful coverage I had been looking for.
I’m pretty excited to see they now have an app which is free (for now0. However, that only makes me more eager to contribute and support their work.
