Description

A tiny macOS app to make switching default browser quick.

This lean app lives only in your menubar and provides a way to pick a different default browser for your system. It only shows the browsers installed on your system.

It does not perform any network activity or analytics or anything that it shouldn’t.

Some of us like to compartmentalise our activities into different browsers. Like using Chrome exclusively for work and switching to Firefox for personal life. For me, it makes life easier and surfing the web a little more stress free. What I miss is an efficient way to make this switch. Loading System Preferences every time is too much work.

Why would you want to change the default browser? Let’s say you finish work and want to catch up on that youtube link your friend shared in chat. Clicking on the link in the chat app or email opens it in your ‘work’ browser. You can either keep copy pasting stuff between browsers or give in and ruin your youtube history.

This app will hopefully simplify things by making it as easy as clicking it at 6 pm when the work day ends. And if something work related does come up, it’s still one click to switch back into the work mode.

Simple and clean!

Works perfectly on my M1 so far, it does exactly what I need it to do with minimum interaction.
